Is it required to have the Singularity Engine up? So far I'm only activating Solar.

One more thing is RPing as a person who likes to explore (basically go someplace they're not allowed) allowed?

My guess is yes, but prepare to have your ass stunbatoned and brigged. Illicit access is illicit (see how smart I am? I figured it out myself! :P), but the real possibility for playing this sort of thing would be getting away missions up and running, which I find unlikely.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

Don't you have a "plasma" fire-based engine anymore, or did that get removed at some point? Time was you could power the entire station with a tiny one, as the smaller they were, the more efficient it was (due to engine walls and floors being immune to heat and the way the algorithms for temperature and gas diffusion were written, etc).
There is the PACMAN generator, (And its improvements), but how do you use it?

It's been years since I last played SS13 or looked at (or edited) the code. I'm not familiar with anything in SS13 named "PACMAN."

Use a semicolon before you type what you're saying for the general mic. I believe :h is used to speak to those within your branch of employment (Engineering, Medical, Science, etc)

It's a box you jam stuff in, which it then burns and makes power.

I'm fairly certain the latest version that still uses a plasma engine is the public Goonstation source, in which the engine doesn't actually work. And that's not the PACMAN one, it uses turbines or something like that, I don't remember.

As for the whole engine thing, I think it's most efficient to just power the singularity. It's quick, and most rounds are so short you don't even need to refill the collectors. The solars are mostly for auxiliary power in case the main engine is destroyed or is started too late for the singularity containment to power up.

Heheh that was pretty excellent. Did just enough engineering to keep the station running until my appendix burst. Then I laid around puking in medbay for half the round, until I was "cured" by the roboticist. Unfortunately, Cyborg 001's crowbar had little effect against the alien menace.

Traitor round, with a side of turtling aliens. :)
To anyone who heard them speak, the phrase was 'None shall pass', no matter whenever you heard it.

That took a lot of work to set up a little chunk of area to defend,so I doubt I'll do it again unless someone wants me to on purpose. (Especially since I had to keep track of three Hunters renamed Sentinels myself to guard the border. and a Queen to build everything resin-based.)
The outwardmost Sentinel died guarding the door, the second-most was only saved by the shuttle.

I just had a GREAT first start in this round.

My corpse is still drifting in space.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Semicolon before what you want to say will use the general channel.
 ;Like this
If you've got a department specific headset, right click and examine it, it tells you what to type for the other channels you have access to, for example:
:m This is the medical frequency
 :n This is science
:u This is supply (cargo and mining)

I don't remember the others off the top of my head.
