I'm a young fossil who uses post-its and scraps of paper for anything. That aside, it's more convenient for me to be able to glance down for half a second than pull the Notes section up, especially in time-critical situations.

I have a white board and dry erase marker at my desk. It's super useful.

You're missing out on the fun of sifting through a layer of paper with strata dating back several years, though. I love digging through my old notes to see what (or more likely wonder what the heck) I was thinking about when I wrote them. Still, points for efficiency. 

Just get a journal if you're going to do that. It's at least bound and easier to write on.

I've had several; they tend to end with half the pages torn out to be used as quick notes or bookmarks, and the other half heavily bookmarked and annotated so I can find things.

We finally managed to grind our way into the AI chamber and I carded Red Hand right after he launched the shuttle. I start wiping him in Medbay, cue random suicide bomber. Simon gives no fucks, that AI is dead. Red Hand is credit to server.
