Showed up as QM during that wizard round and accidentally ruined whatever cover the HoP had when he ordered guns. Called him out over the radio for it. After I was told it was supposed to be a secret I was more disappointed in the complete lack of a cover up. Even just putting the requests in the filing cabinet would have hidden them from anything but an accidental click on the cabinet.

It seems that whatever the hell is breaking the server is an actual server fault, not a code thing. A local server is stable... it kind of seems like the actual Urist server goes down the second someone tries to join it, but that might just be a timing thing.

How hard's integrating the Goon scheduler (changes? Fairly sure we're kinda-sorta using the old version).

fairly sure we're not integrating the goonscheduler and just updating our scheduler.

tbh im not too up-to-date on what constitutes tg scheduler code. i think it's our own goon-inspired scheduler built on top of carn's MC rework, which mso is now modifying to make use of the new feature that he and several other coders (including some gooncoders) requested on the byond forums.

https://github.com/tgstation/-tg-station/pull/16089

e:

oranges and mrp confirmed that tg MC is basically carnMC with some of mso's modifications for dynamically scaling allotted tick time per subsystem.

if im understand this correctly we can now basically do the dynamic scaling, except inside ticks instead of inbetween ticks. so if a subsystem is processing and it runs for longer than the ticklimit, it's paused and resumed next tick so there is no input lag. you can literally run away from explosions now.

Vactor's offline, but I'll message him when he gets on so we can get the server back up.

Whenever I want to see whether it is up or not I simply use Aedel's sig.

Central Command Update

Nanotrasen Mars HQ

You have successfully allowed a crazed cult to nearly bring about the end of reality as we know it due to your slow response, ignoring your artifical intelligence and general incompetence.

However, you have successfully saved us all by the skin of our teeth. And for that, the entire universe owes an eternal debt to you, Space Station 13. Each and every one of you will go down in history as heroes. You are also being reassigned to a less terrible station, so you can stop fearing for your lives.

Well done, crew.

The AI is also being downloaded to a Central Command intelligence module. Think of it as a promotion.

Glory to Nanotrasen.

this was a random traitor round

that was so close

For those not in the know, the antags tried feeding Lord Singuloth to destroy space and time.  When it escaped and ate half the crew, including them, who were in engineering for various reasons, Corai possessed it to eat the supermatter, which promptly exploded one tile away and destroyed Our Lord Singuloth.
