Apparently Startoad did some creepy stuff with asking pics from an underage member of NT or something and got shood away. He's basically a boogeyman, all servers have some sort of experience with him. (he even tried to copy cogstation, and did so VERY badly. Hilariously badly, even)

Also his JO13 BS got him shamed away from /tg/. JO13 was crashy as fuck and ran like shit, and he forcibly removed the admin permissions system and insisted to divide admins into admins that can ban and admins that can host events, never both.

What was JO13?

After redownloading Byond, I can't seem to login to it with my old account, even after getting a new password. It is just stuck on validating.

Edit: I've logged in now, don't know what fixed it.

Proof of concept:



I've got randomly spawning mobs, randomly generated paths, random plants with random fruit and randomly generated rivers. Now, I need to get more mobs, and make some trees so I can get those spawning.

Beauty of this? There's still a functional awaymap, as well as this planetary map. I'm really liking what I've got going here with this randomness, we'll see how it plays out once I get the two jobs going.

I'd prefer the sprites to look a bit more... SS13y. They look so out of place.

i assumed these are mostly placeholders

giloyd, how much love are you planning to put into this? are you going to touch up the rand() on the pixel vars of plants so they align to the surroundings? automated directional shoreline sprites for water turfs possible? i imagine that last one would require one hell of a startup

Pity, though, that I got intercepted by a medical borg while kidnapping the Detective earlier. Without that, I wouldn't have used up a paper charge on EMP and I could have upgraded that Wraith.

BTW, anyone know who and why decided to blow all the borgs? It was kinda a shocker...

Plus, it kinda caused me to follow people about and bitch at them via LOOC...
