I just had a -ton- of fun as a Traitor Surgeon, and -FINALLY- managed to complete my mission as an Operator Traitor.
-snip-

Mediborg here.

I couldn't actually perform surgery. There was a second person who assisted with Tomoko's new arm. I just went and got a cautery to finish the procedure. For surgical procedures, I almost always have http://baystation12.net/wiki/index.php/Guide_to_Surgery open. Seriously. It helps a lot to have one website tab open for the surgery guide and another open for a list of chemicals, their effects, and how to make them.

It was so busy that round that even if you were a traitor, I wouldn't have smelled it coming from a mile away. Also, the command reports aren't really all that accurate, so I never depend on them.

Mediborgs kind of either need to have surgical utensils or be able to use chemistry. Tricord doesn't heal that much in Baymed, people can still bleed out despite inaprovaline, and spaceacillin is more-or-less useless with the general lack of diseases. If I could use chemistry, I could've fixed someone's eyes a lot sooner and possibly fixed a genetic problem resulting from a bit of unstable mutagen consumption. If I had surgical capabilities, I could've helped fix numerous fractures or other problems that round.

I used to play almost exclusively borg.  When we changed code, I rounded up all the possible additions and fixes.  Mediborgs are at the top of the list.  Glloyd already agreed to make them surgical instead of how they are now, but he's focused on other stuff right now.  ALL the other stuff.

We need to be order crates that are full to the brim with cleaning grenades, with no other janitor supplies.

Yes.

Janitorial supplies aren't that costly to order, though. I believe it's 10 points to order supplies? Well, IIRC, if you send back the crate, you get like 5 supply points back, and if you stamp the supply manifest and send it back, you get 2 points back. So that's like 7 points you get back, and the other three will have recharged by the time the supply shuttle arrives.

I still play semi-exclusively borg. People aren't as liable to be bothered by personality quirks or weird behavior and they're generally just polite. On top of that, you can fulfill multiple jobs without needing a HoP, change personalities almost mid-flight, and you're not as busy as the AI.

I'm not actually that worried about mediborgs getting fixed. If there's bigger problems, there's bigger problems. It's still pretty fun as hell, despite being hectic, to rush about the station rescuing people because you can easily access the crew monitoring console and access virtually any part of the station. Basically, you are pretty much an actual EMT.

Yes but the crate comes with unneeded other janitorial supplies.

I still like playing mediborgs, but service and janiborg are my favorites until Glloyd has time to do the cyborg changes.  Still prefer nymph now, though!
