I enjoyed the dragon round.
When the dragon was taunting us, I suggested to the crew that would could try blowing it up, which Hans said might work in ooc.
Me and another crewmember fought our way into toxins, but things got too crazy, so we ran away to medbay. I got taken down by an orc, but someone healed me enough to get out of crit. I went into cryo to heal, where for some reason someone kept shutting off the cryo pods... I eventually was put in a sleeper and healed up anyway.
I made my way over to cargo, and ran into the helpful spider trader! I traded him a wrench for a nice shield. Good deal. Someone asked if he knew a way to kill the dragon, and he mentioned that fuel tanks could be blown up to hurt the dragon, but we needed something bigger to really do any damage. This confirmed my thinking that a bomb was the way to go.
At this point the crew started to split up. Someone asked for help in medbay, so I went there and helped heal up a guy in cryo. I went back out, toward science again, this time I met very little opposition. I was able to set up toxins and make 3 nice bombs. While I was in the middle of this, the friendly spider merchant showed up, and gave me a nice armored vest. I didn't have anything good to trade, but the spider decided to just give it to me anyway. Shortly after this he was murdered by some crazy crew member.
Armed with my 3 bombs, I decided I should try to meet up with the crew. I headed north, intending to loop around the bridge and head to the armory. On my way there, I ran into some scary otherworldly monster thing... so I turned and ran. I decided to head into engineering, and see if the dragon was still there.
When I got there, I saw the dragon, along with another crewmember trying to fight it. I was worried I would be taken out quickly, so I activated the 5 second (5 eternities in real time) timer on one of the bombs, and threw it at the dragon... err... but it was still in my hand. Tried to throw it again... no go. So feeling like I was out of time, I just got right up in the dragon's face. Right before the bomb went off, the dragon slapped it out of my hand. I can only imagine the expression on his face when he saw the bomb...
Right after that, (and about 15 seconds of bomb lag) I was a spray of gibs, and the dragon was no more... or so I thought.
The crew then made their way to escape, and fought the dracolich. They seemed to handle him pretty easily with their new spells and guns from the armory. They also seemed to keep setting Ava on fire for some reason...
A very cool gimmick round, but I wish I had at least gotten the other crew involved. Did I blow up the guy who was fighting the dragon when I got there? I felt pretty bad when Hans said "That's one way to do it...". I hope I didn't screw up some cool plan you had...
If you do something like that again, a no bombs rule might be in order, or something like a miniboss in toxins (An admin controlled blob, perhaps?) It was a really cool and unique event.
