For Spinosaurus, it's mainly because there's a feathered member on its side of the family tree (Sciurumimus), so it makes sense for Spino's ancient ancestor to have feathers. I added the swamp-feather because... Well, it's really frikkin' cool when Spino has feathers n' stuff. Should be at least one cool spino each for any person viewing.

Like:
I changed dorsal fin to dorsal sail, since there is no real dorsal ridge that matches.

Quote
The function of the dinosaur's sail or hump is uncertain; scientists have proposed several hypotheses including heat regulation and display. In addition, such a prominent feature on its back could also make it appear even larger than it was, intimidating other animals.

Quote
Spinosaurus also turned out to look very different from the pictures in the books; it didn’t have a short snout, but long, crocodile-like jaws armed with conical teeth. Also, its arms weren’t short, but rather long and powerful, armed with enormous hooked claws.

Could be missing from it. I'm fairly sure that the last set of dinosaurs had many of them missed out or something.

If we're doing ecosystems I call dibs on Nemegt.
I'm putting together some creature lists at the moment. I'm not doing ecosystems for the time being but in later versions I might.
EDIT: Looking back to the last page; estimating Alamosaurus' weight at 120 tons is comepletely ridiculous. I'd give it 70-80.
And I don't really see why living in swampy areas would mean they would have less feathers.

I was estimating based on Puertasaurus, instead of Argentinasaurus. Can't remember exactly how big I put it in the raws, but I'd guess it's between 80 and 100.

Never said that. Just said I could not find any evidence supporting that Spinosaurus was feathered. Also it did not live in Swampy areas, it lived in northern africa, around rivers and lakes, often feeding on fish.

It was probably some sort of mega-estuary, rather than a swamp.

Yes, most likely.  Same for sarcosuchus.

Both near water. Close enough.

Hey Eotyrannus, sorry for vanishing on you. A friend of mine lost her battle with cancer, and I've been dealing with that.... Poorly.

No problem, it must be hard when someone close to you dies. Take as long as you need.

Mmm, I took several months already... I can't keep mourning. She wouldn't like that.

I think it was PMed around a few times. I should probably go look for it.

And do the Triassic, too. Anyone got any ideas of a biome for it?

For the most part, the Triassic period was rather hot and dry (Arid) so I'd assume badlands, deserts, rocky wastelands, and savannas.
