I've been playing planetside 2 lately.

The thing is, I own a mic, and I own headphones, but they aren't attached to each other, they use 3.5 mm jacks. I was wondering if there was any program out there that would allow me to use them in conjunction as a headset.

I don't think you need one. Headphones go into the green 3.5mm jack, mic goes into pink one. Every headset combo I've had has had two jacks; it is effectively, just a mic and a pair of 'phones built into the same casing.
