The land of Centria is a land of conflict. Brother versus sister, father versus son. Grand armies are always battling within the confines of this nation. Even the concept of time is under attack. It is not uncommon for heroes from centuries past to go to battle with a warlord of the day. None seem to notice anything out of the ordinary. It is truly odd how there is always war in Centria. With the distorted flow of time within Centria one need not wonder how such vast armies are constantly created.Xantalos, Jbg7, and GreatwyrmgoldXantalosDeciding to rest for the day you wonder quietly about the heart. For some reason it had been calling to you. Seeing that Rex had decided to take a nap and that Gewig had already begun looting the likely comatose body of Rex you helped yourself to the Heart.
Glancing at it you could find nothing particularly interesting about it other than it seemed to resonate with an extremely faint power. Wondering if you could perhaps imbue it with magic you tried to channel a small amount of wind magic into it. You began your spell but quickly found that the heart wouldn’t accept mana so you canceled the spell before any fatigue set in.
Still… The heart made you feel… somewhat compelled to ingest it. You tried for hours to resist but… it finally got the better of you. Raising the heart to your lips reluctantly you took a small bite. It was delicious. Soon you couldn’t help yourself but keep devouring the organ until it was no more.
For a brief moment you felt nothing. Then a rush of power flooded through your limbs! You felt stronger, faster, and smarter than you had before! Imagine… That heart’s depleted power was enough to foster this sort of reaction from you. What would happen if a fully charged Heart of Power were to be devoured?

GreatwyrmgoldThe imp-like creature seemed friendly enough while the one referred to as “Crazy” had yet to move. Perhaps he was dead? Waste not want not had been a motto you had lived by in these woods so you decided to help yourself to some of Crazy’s items. Luckily all of his things seemed well suited to your personal tastes. Inspecting them showed that they were of shoddy quality mostly but it was better to have extras just in case.
You left the body where it was as you felt a small pulse. Then there was a small heart that the Imp claimed so you left that to him. You also decide to leave some of his rations alone as they appear to be… rather foul in origin. The remainder of the day was spent inspecting your loot.
Gain Hard Leather Armor, Shoddy Iron Bastard Sword, Shoddy Wooden Shield, Average Torch, 2 Poor Traps, 2 Sharp Sticks, Shoddy Iron Mace, Hard Leather Armor, Shoddy Wooden Shield Name: Gewig
Class: Warrior
Race: Troll
Description: Gewig's deep-set eyes are large and brown like wood, with a number of scars near them that almost look like the grain on his tanned skin. His hair is thick, purple, unkempt, and curly, flowing over his horns like some sort of polluted stream that sometimes flows uphill. Gewig has a pair of large, thin ears with lots of bits ripped out. He wears a fairly simple wardrobe: A crude robe which he made from animal hides and dyed red with blood and berries, and an even cruder whitish shirt and kilt made from pilfered canvas. Gewig overall tries to look fearsome, and due to his size, scars, and the sharpness of his features, it's fair to say he succeeds. Despite this, Gewig is capable of forming friendships, or even alliances if it so suits him.

Mesor, Brood, and Kingfisher1112After a rather confrontational discussion with one of the two new arrivals you decided to go search for some extra materials. It felt almost too easy to find the wood. You had already stacked your acquired logs into a small play-fort just for fun last night and now you had 5 more logs to add to the towers. It was rather childish, true, but you enjoyed it none-the-less.
After a small break where you checked in on the resident “druid” you found that he had yet to do anything interesting. You didn’t truly plan on killing the man for it, after all you need citizens for a settlement, but you didn’t enjoy being lied to. Hopefully he would have done something impressive by the time you got back.
Heading out into the forest/jungle again you were surprised to find a large amount of vines on a rather spectacular tree. With a grin you ripped five of them off of the tree and started searching for some suitable rocks. Unfortunately it was here that your day started to be less spectacular. You found no rocks that were suitable for anything past a game of Checkers and even those would be shoddy for a game.
Returning to camp you deposited your haul and wondered if you should go out to hunt. Glancing at the setting sun, or what you could see of it anyway, you decided against it and instead inquired about your ally-captives progress. The results were under-whelming.

BroodWhile you kept up a calm façade whenever the sites original habitant returned you were inwardly panicking. You wanted to prove that he didn’t need to kill you but you were having trouble finding anything of use. You found a single large rock early on but that really wasn’t useful and your plan to find gems had petered out early on.
You instead turned your attention to a small… thing that you had sensed in the dirt. It felt somewhat human shaped and that may be useful enough. Perhaps it was armor of some sort. As soon as your captor returned you raised the object from the earth with an astounding rumble. Unfortunately the set of Leather Armor you had brought up was a little less than spectacular. With a bit of an embarrassed grin you gestured at the rock and dirty armor.

Kingfisher1112The annoying bastards weren’t worth dealing with. With an angry huff you stormed away and started to search for a decent clearing with which you could establish a base camp. Luckily you found a wonderful clearing which was the perfect distance from the bastards of the jungle with their “Why would we help you?’’s and their “I’ve got a fucking castle made of wood but none for you”s. Unluckily it had taken you an entire day to get there and all you had to show for it was a handful of stick. One of which you carried for some form of protection and a walking stick.

GotdamnmiracleArriving at the nearest town you settled in and ordered your allies to blend in. It was gonna be a while.
Broto: A human associate of Argent Crissif’s and brother to Croto. A large muscular man whose flowing beard is the envy of many dwarves. His powerful arms are capable of crushing most human opponents to death. Unfortunately his strength of body is mirrored by weakness of thought. Of note is the fact that he is ruthlessly protective of his beard.
Croto: A human associate of Argent Crissif’s and brother to Broto. Whereas his brothers beard is the envy of dwarves Croto is cleanly shaven. Indeed he is the opposite of his brother. Being an accomplished mage has its uses, though he is only slightly skilled with fire and water manipulation. Most other spells outpace his crippled body’s ability to cast.
Goblarry: A goblin associate of Argent Crissif’s. An oddly civilized goblin with a liking for fine clothing. He wields a small iron dagger of shoddy quality. While quick of wit and agile to boot he isn’t always trustworthy and will gladly save himself grief by leaving out important details.
Jo’toro: After disposing of Argent Crissif he is the new leader of The Warband. A cunning man whose skill in combat is hard to match. He is a brutal over-lord and has put a price on the heads of Broto, Croto, Goblarry, and Argent Crissif.

Sharpkris, Scapheap, and zacen299Making an impression in this town was rather easier than you had thought. Though at first people seemed wary of you, obviously due to your heritage, they seemed to warm to you when they learned you were an aspiring cleric. When a village has such few members anyone who can assist in keeping them alive is appreciated.
The odd thing was that while the first set of people you met seemed to distrust you the longer you went about introducing yourself the more people outright asked if you were a cleric. It would appear that news in Icedrip travels quickly.
Thankfully the people of this village seem to have warmed to your presence.

The church was appropriately quiet as the small number of monks prayed at various alters. It would appear that this church serviced all faiths as you knew that not all of these gods were Nerjin. Glancing about you found on of the brothers praying to Nyphi a goddess of Water and Sorcery.
“Pardon me brother. Are you of a silent order?” You asked. The monk simply bowed his head toward Nyphi’s symbols.
“Ah I see. Is there anyone here who could help me learn more magic?” The monk shook his head at that but then nodded.
“What?” The monk pointed at the most elaborate alter whereby a single rosary hung. Such symbols were common amongst silent brotherhoods to symbolize that their spokesman was travelling abroad.
“I understand. Thank you for your time.” The monk nodded.
Heading toward a nearby alter of Nerjin you bowed your head and prayed silently for what felt like moments but when you looked up again it had been more like hours. Standing on stiff knees you headed outside to reunite with your small group.

zacen299The Horse’s Shoe had always been a favored location of yours. Yorg the Smith greeted you with a hearty “Hello.” As you walked through the door to browse his wares. After several minutes he inquired about you actually buying something this time and it was then that you realized you had a little less than one gold. Namely you were flat broke.
With an embarrassed grin you asked “Well… Not today I don’t think but I was wondering if there was anything you had that needed done. I’ve met two clerics-“
“Aye, I had heard of them.” Yorg looked you over with his one remaining eye “Are they both clerics? I seem to recall some mention that one is a tiefling. Not that I’m judging.”
“Well… Maybe but still… Is there anything that needs done?”
“Aye. There is plenty. I made a wonderful Bronze Dagger for Eljim down the road. If you could take it to him I’d give ya a piece. Also bring yer Cleric friend over here. I may have something for them to do if they’d be interested in som’o me gold.”
“You want me to go delive a dagger?”
“Tha’s wha’ I said I’n’t it?”
“Your accent fluctuates a lot and you’re sending me on a fetch quest… Wonderful.”
With a mighty laugh Yorg clapped his hands together “I’m just a blacksmith! Wha’ did ye expect me to say? Go slay a demon? Go kill some horrible creature o’ the night? Nay, I’m a simple man. Just deliver the dagger.”
With a grudging gait you accepted the Well-Made Dagger and prepared to head out. As you reached the outside you realized just how much time had elapsed. Well… Maybe Eljim wouldn’t miss the dagger?

IMPORTANT!!!
Fun fact: Now with time fluctuating I’ll be doing updates per group as they come in. Not part of a group? Good job you get a lot more stuffs done. What happens if you meet up with another group? You’re stuck in their time flow as well. You’ll figure it out as we go along.
Also if a character is booted [through inactivity] you do not get any of their things. So if someone were to try to club an uncouncious player to death to make room for a new player and to get their Heart of Power… I wouldn’t say no.
