Xantalos, Jbg7, and GreatwyrmgoldXantalosAfter waving away Rex Furor’s dead rabbit… friend thing… You decided to discuss leaving with your allies “We know there are beasts up on the mountain and obviously a lack of large prey… So I’m thinking we should head down to that forest down there. I know what I saw on my way up here and my band ate pretty well on our way up here.”
“Yeah, I noticed that too. Goldenroot or something like that…” Mumbled Rex as he cooked his kill from last night into rations while yawning.
“So… I guess we’ll just pack up and leave?” Squire Fyrbirth suggested as he looked over to the rations piled up in the nook of the cave.
“Alright… We’ll leave in a few moments.”
It wasn’t a particularly hard journey for the lot of you as you passed several small creatures on your way down. By the time you stopped for the night you were only a half-days travel away from Goldenroot Forest.

“So… I guess we’ll just pack up and leave?” You suggested while looking over the remaining rations. Enough for another day without any hunting taking place, or you figured as much from your cursory glance.

Mesor and FirelordskyMesorDragging your sleep deprived body into the water you attempt to look for fish. Against all logic it appears that the bay, yesterday teeming with fish of different colors and sizes, is empty of the critters. Perhaps a tide has carried them out? “They’ll be back tomorrow…” You grumble through a yawn.
Setting upon the beach watching the sun go down wistfully as you try hopelessly to fight off sleep you get the idea to try to start a fire! Gathering up your planks of wood you set about trying to set them ablaze… With no avail. “Nerjin damn it!” Cursing the god of Centria you kick one of the plans in frustration as the sun sets… You need sleep though… It cannot wait.

FirelordskySitting up to find Karlam still awake you take a few minutes to take stock of what there is. Eventually you decide that an axe would likely be more helpful in the long run than spears. Searching around for sharp rocks you are pleased to find quite a few. Testing for the strongest one you pick up a piece of loose wood and set to work. It takes several hours of intensive work. You never cut with the rocks before you’ve measured at least three times. Never-the-less the end product is poor, but at least it is better than your spear. Sitting down to watch the sun set you absently wonder what to do next.

Sharpkris and Scapheap“We need to leave.” Clair suggests as the two of you search the house for anything of any use at all.
“Yeah… If that thing comes back we’re pretty much screwed.”
Claire chuckled, probably due to her being a succubus you assume, before she sighed heavily “There’s nothing here at all! They cleared out everything!”
“Well… Come on, we don’t have time to stay around. I want to put as much space between us and this house as possible.
It’s hard travelling in the cold after growing used to the relative warmth of the house but you both make good progress. Far on the horizon you see wisps of smoke but you can’t quite put your finger on what it could be. Settling down for a small break as night falls you discuss with Clarie what you should do that night.
