I'm sorry but this is post-factum meta. There was no intent on your side to do any of it at the start when we arrived, you never indicated any of it in your actions or RP even after you were told you might suffer the consequences, and lastly you are arguing against a GM.

I got nothing against you personally and I did enjoy playing with you but there were IC reasons for it and I'd hate to make this an unpleasant parting, knowing we will see each other in another game sometime.

I never publicly showed intent, i did however privately message the GM secret actions.

And dont worry, ill be fine with you in another game.
Its Terenos i have a beef with, the entire time i was playing i felt as if he was taking liberties with my character and/or not even bothering to read my actions. This final event was merely the straw that broke 3 camels backs.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Tell you what. I'll totally rewrite this for you.

Ardas, Fniff, should he go down this road, you can obviously see that he holds his bow, with an arrow notched.  Because its not exactly a stealthy weapon.

Fniff's character will be in melee range, and Ardas, as he was planning, will shut down your magic. Sound good?

The time for complaining that I've misinterpreted your actions is the turn that I have done so.

Even though Terenos just ninjaed me im gonna post this now anyway, because i went to the damn length to actually look up your last 5 or 6 actions.

Pariah he doesn't take liberty with your actions. You forgot to add important information to your actions.

Both times when you collapsed the tower you just went outside even though it was stated that the tower was the ONLY viable source of stone nearby.

Quote
After being healed by Jerik again Flint heads outside and summons a pair of stone golems.

If Jerik fails to heal Flint he shall simply order a comfy saddle to be made for his warhorse.

so you can't accuse Terenos there of liberties.

If you are refer to the broken ribs, what do you exactly imagine happens when one tries to wave around his arms and move around while his ribs are broken? A broken rib may pierce your lung and contrary to pop-culture belief is quite the annoying thing that stops you from moving much.

THe only other thing you can accuse him of is in regards to the bow action. Lets assume you really gave that order...how do you suppose do you ready a bow secretly? i mean even if you walk around with a notched bow after the tower was collapsed people would get
a) suspicious at the latest point when you still walk towards them with a notched bow. After all you are not in a combat situation.
b) lets say nobody reacts to your notched bow while you are standing in front of them, the moment you were hit in the face and staggered back a few steps the arrow would very propably jump from the string.
c) you are an untrained individual. At least with a bow. Have you ever tried to draw a bow? I have three or four times as a total untrained person you somehow drop the arrow half the time, not to mention the time it takes for you to make it actually combat ready, by that time spells would have been unleashed, especially if the other two guys had the initiative

Finally you only posted "Defend myself". That is no orders given to the golems. Of course we can automatically assume that you will call them. But imagine the mental artistry of drawing and aiming a bow, recovering from strike to the face, spurting out some stone magic incantations to protect yourself and ordering the Golems to do your order.

Lets say the golems react themselves, they are not intelligent beings but you gave them the order to protect yourself even then the order would only kick in once it comes to physical violence. Even then they are nonintelligent things which need to react to shit. The bigger they get the longer they take to react, enough time to kill you or kill them.

and although i already said finally, finally stop complaining. YOU didn't die due to some other person not realizing that creating stone golems near a STONE TOWER isnt a good idea. It's a game with high mortality rate, get used to it or go home. Honestly the complaining and arguing with Terenos isn't going to change anything so either make a new character and stop complaining or ignore the thread from now on.

"
if i cant talk my way out:
Shoot Detani with my bow and dispatch my golems to attack both of my fellow mages while i flee into the cover of the rubble field and from there into the catacombs.
Turn my magic upon the entrance to the catacombs and seal it behind me.

If i do talk my way out and someone still attacks me:
Shoot them and turn both of my golens on them whilst using my power to destroy the roof of the catacombs below them thus dropping them into it then flee into the forest."

His official secret orders, so yes he did have his golems try to defend himself. It is a pity that golems (While powerful in melee), take time to move and have a horrible initiative modifier.
And yes, if you use stone golems against someone with earth magic there is a chance your orders can be altered or blocked.

The majority of this game's actions were intended to be written as more than "I do x". Failure to elaborate DOES give the GM full free ride to add clauses and penalties for either entertainment or punishment.

You broke the tower by raising golems - literally your action was to raise them - with no regard as to from where, how, or any other modification to the order. Which you'd done TWICE. "Raise from the ground" would have been a simple addition to avoid the situation you were put in.

This isn't even including the several turns of "Hey lets make different shaped golems for no particular reason, despite a GM advisement, then warning, that you were wasting your time.

This is similar to the path GWG took in ignoring the obvious, being vague, and then being completely dense as to the warnings of -everyone-

You might call 1 action bullshit that lead to your death - but the conditions of your death was a pending argument for a while now among the players.

EDIT: Also, Ghaz GM'd the last DM game - appearances would say that even he is endorsing the course of action taken. And he's the most passive of us all

Despite what Detani said, could I attempt raising the bodies?

Sure. Untrained magic does take a penalty though. A fairly hefty one.

You don't have to raise these bodies actually, I'm more interested in clearing out as much rubble as possible to get supplies out to the mine and to have open access to catacombs. I think Void is good enough to vaporize rubble that is in your way.

Missing mine workers a mistake or on purpose?

Absolutely on purpose. Further investigation reveals that they died.

Ah, thanks. I was originally going to spend my turn investigating it instead of raising undead but I wasn't sure if it was an accident or if Jim would even notice it realistically.

In addition, given the slow pace of this currently I'm going to reworking how experience to the next level of magical prowess is gained. In addition to that, upon achieving Initiate, certain magical actions will become so mundane as to be essentially free, action wise. This will not mean you can do it an infinite number of times.

My goal here is to speed up the pace of the game. Initially I planned to do this same thing at Initiate level, but thanks to the loss of the library I wasn't able to go in that direction. For a while now I've been concerned about player levels of fun. So lets see if we cant alter the system somewhat after the new base is built, and the new arrivals show up.
