It's like how 13 and 7 spiraled out from their original definitions. In Tibetian Buddhism, their malas (similar to rosaries) consist of 108 beads, in Japan Buddhist temples ring their bells 108 times to bring in the new year, and Lankavatara Sutra has a section where a man asks Buddha 108 questions, all of which he negates one by one. Plus, it crops up a lot in anime and similar Eastern works. Anyway, the source is the number of temptations that a human faces, tying them to the wheel of Samsara, the wheel of life.

It's also sounds like a lot and is an even number, and humans like both of those things when making numbers sound cool.

No apologies needed, that was awesome. We just need Robert now.
Or wait  there's still that conversation between him and Red gonna happen.

No need. However, there is a bit of a problem.

Jack now has at least one actual guest, hurray! All her party planning would go to waste if only an old geezer like Merlin showed up.

I'm thinking, for the eyepatch... red leather, studded with rubies? Maybe shaped so they make up a phoenix? It might be uncomfortable, but we mustn't be afraid to suffer for fashion, darling.

Red is a stylish dude. Whatever it is that he's going to wear, it's got to have STYLE.
Really, though. He generally prefers it simple! But that might be where Jack and Red will have to agree to disagree.

Ah, good, things are moving along again!
Hmm. Question, Caesar. To what extent would you say the forgetfulness enchantment would affect other players? Just so I know how to RP.

If he's introduced himself, they're immune.
If they figure out that they are being affected by the enchantment, the effects should be negligible (perhaps until a large amount of time has passed).
If they sense that there's something abnormal about him, and they manage to reflect on the fact that they seem to be forgetting something important, mediocre.
If they have no clue at all that there's something strange about him, they're likely to forget whatever interaction they had just like mortals do.

Unless he's introduced himself, I'd go over all of these for every interaction. Naturally, they have to assume that he's another person for the enchantment to work. Robert knows that the person calling him is, for instance, Red. So even though he never technically lifted the enchantment for Robert, it wouldn't apply here. If they'd stumble upon each other on the street, he would be affected.

As a general rule - the more tenacious your character is about remembering the interaction, and the more reason he has to believe that he spoke with Red, the less they'll be affected by the enchantment.

No need. However, there is a bit of a problem.

Sorry. I read over that! What's the problem?

I think I might know what the problem is - namely, Robert didn't call Red from a number that could be reached, but the way he worded it was that it would have seemed like it would have come straight from the mainframe, so there wasn't a number that Red could call back to reach him from.

Oh, that's not it. The mainframe should be smart enough to intercept (well, certainly after the act I've planned).

Problem lies at another point, namely plausibly in a location without internet next week.

Oh.
It's kinda redundant to say in a game like this, but I can wait.

If I've misunderstood anything, feel free to point it out! I thought that the mainframe likely still used some number, even if it were a farce.

I'm also okay with waiting. I'll be quite busy over the weekend anyways.
