Oh, how I love writing about jarbled (yes, I just made that word up), chaotic minds. Writing a good crazy person is harder than it sounds.

Also: That last post wasn't really my best, I guess. I need to do better. And then better than better.

Really? It seemed rather good to me.
And no, the roleplaying was in a freeform RP in another part of the board. I play a psychopath student who manipulates students and develops a menacing reputation by doing mundane actions and talking vaguely.
It's actually kinda hilarious.

Maybe it's my mood.

That does, indeed, sound hilarious.

Indeed. I recently caused two characters to form a relationship out of fear that I'd assassinate one of them, get half the school in an uproar, and the resident supers older busting down walls looking for me ... by walking to the cafeteria and asking about the food.

Damn, Caesar, you're both an awesome writer AND supremely well-adjusted.

Nice.

Sorry to hear about the relationship thing, though.

Pure crossover insanity.

Essentially, a thread that crosses over Every. Single. Bay12. Roleplay. Yes that includes Einsteinian Roulette.
And this one.

Ahem. Speaking of this game though, I'm wondering in what direction I'm going to take Nate. I'm going to have him think either about his studies or his new powers, but either way it's going to be a mundane turn.

We used to have a lot more of those. Freeform RPs where the characters used generally carried over from previous ones. Lovely little clusterfucks.

Ripe for shipping, which I notice this game lacks.

Personally, I'm not a fan of freeform roleplaying. I used to be, but after a few bad incidents when it was really popular here I became rather cynical about the entire deal. So, don't expect Jules or any of the NPCs to show up, I'm afraid, unless one of the players who has control over them shows up there.

It was really popular here also around the time it contributed to the crash-and-burning of Various Nonsense. Unless that's what you meant already.

I haven't done any real freeform RP on these forums - on old ones I used to go to they were all the rage, fun times were had by all and it worked fine. I think it was mainly the playerbase there. Though they weren't quite as freeform as this, anyway.

Generally, it depends upon the people involved and the mechanics therein. One of my favorite roleplays was in fact a freeform RP (Anything Can Happen, the first one though the other ones were pretty good). However, it tends to attract a sort of person I don't like, and it tends to make people rather arrogant about the capacities of their character. I mean, even Godhoods have limits. Freeformers are limitless by definition, and thus I find unless they are populated by people who willingly RP characters with limits it can become tedious.

I'm really just hoping it doesn't go wrong. Mostly because there's a sort of god/mortal barrier forming now.
