Funny thing I'm almost done with one of the parts of the next post too, which will introduce a new game mechanic... Don't worry, this part will take place before any of you guys do anything so there won't be any trouble if you guys post something that would be off in terms of timing.

As for the question, depends on what you think would suit the character. I wouldn't mind either way, since being a detective is film noir and this is a very film noir RP, but this is also a fantasy RP so wizards are cool as well.

Here's a sneek peek at the update, everyone. It's a passage that doesn't spoil much but I think is pretty good.

Long before the gods fell, long before the gods even existed, there was the ocean. So infinite and vast, the innate fear and awe of it gave it worship. Before humanity even understood gods, the ocean was there. The Inquisitors did not harm it because you cannot burn away the ocean. It will be there until the earth burns away and all is ash.

But all gods accept sacrifice.

The ocean fed off the city's corpses dumped by the mafia and the serial killers. Gaining power from the lost souls of the murdered, but it did not do anything even though it was the closest thing to a god this shattered world had. It did not think like anything. It was the ocean.

Occasionally it manifested in the dreams of men, that fear tempered into images of long-drowned cities of impossible geometry and horrific creatures of the depths. Even as we continue to explore the ocean, the deep-sea trenches suggest horror we cannot contemplate. However, the ocean did no more then make people afraid.

What many people don't know is that the ocean is not a god, but a force of nature. It will make things happen and it had so much excess power from the sacrifices it was about to burst in that area and cause an apocalyptic tsunami from sheer power. So, when one more sacrifice was tossed into the ocean in separate plastic bags, it was obvious something would happen. It may not be an advisable action, but since when do forces have plans?
