That's one of my problems: if you just want to play a character that isn't magic, you can quickly become outclassed by the people who have cool characters with superpowers (And the occasional Mary Sue). At least with most forum games, everyone is essentially at the same level of ability.

Eh. This particular one is generally less crossover and more hangout.

Yeah, basically here's how it went:

A normal RP started up, and the OOC thread eventually developed side-rps where people screwed around and people decided to make a thread to contain the side-rps. Then another RP started up and had a thread of its own.

And then keeping track of those two got insane so someone (me) made a thread for ALL THE THINGS. so they didn't have to be in two different places.

Well, I come to RPs for conflict and plot myself. That's why I prefer godhoods to freeformers, even hangout ones: it's still sort of freeform, but everyone has the same powers and limits, and the need to use these powers to their limits.

Agree to disagree. :)

But yeah, if you ever do want to check it out, it includes insanity.

Damn, Caesar, you're both an awesome writer AND supremely well-adjusted.

Thanks, but no. I feel like curling up underneath a bed and never coming out again. I just don't allow myself to do that.

And as to all the freeform-RP: There's nothing wrong with that in my opinion, although some people do tend to take the fun out of it if you ask me.

Adjustedness is lkke courage. It's not so much not feeling shit so much as dealing with it well.

And agreement on the second point.

I agree with you and would probably tell someone else that. Still, being someone who enjoys writing, I feel almost guilty for inflicting this kind of thing on my characters. We writers are horrible people. We could give our characters nice lives!

Then again, how much appreciation is something worth if you didn't go through a lot of work for it first?

I think you won't find a greater appreciation of the art of "Writers are bastards" then in this very Godhood. How many people in this unnamed city are A. morally upright and B. living a happy life?

So, that's three morally adjusted happy people in a city the size of new york. Actually, counting Tom, make that four. Four people out of a million.
