The siege of Dragons
« on: February 17, 2013, 10:13:05 am »

This is only the cave dragons I killed. There were about 10 more of them. Plus 2 squads of gobbo crossbows and a squad of mounted axe gobbos. I managed to lure them into a trap and kill most of them forcing a retreat. Then ONE cave dragon got through and killed half my fort because my militia died.

TL;DR

about 34 cave dragons rampaged around my fort.

Shame, I just keep getting waves of gobbos.

So are you sealing your dwarfs in or going to go kick some lizard tail and make some nice handbags from them?

To give an idea of how well defended my fort is I have 4 bunkers surrounding the walled in compound with 4 half squads of novice to grand master marksdwarves in each. Then I have a chokepoint were I leave my militia. Then I have a line of traps and my dwarven shock troopers (Legendary miners). If all else fails I lock my remaining populace inside my WIP via a cave in and rebuild from the ashes.

I did manage to route the siege. But like I said 1 dragon made its way through and killed about 20 civilians before my shocktroops killed it.

To get Cave dragons sieges.

Create a world.

Go to legends mode and check the generals of the goblin civs. If one of them have traveled to the underworld and tamed cave dragons,
create a fortress near that civ. If not create a new world and try again.

Or, set up humans to always siege, and make cave dragons mountable.

HEEHEEHEE

I want to do this.
