I don't think it's really necessary to make it so exclusive. There's little to be gained by it, and it'll inevitably result in a insular community developing which is unreasonably wary of newcomers, along with a ton of metafriends and heightened susceptibility to tantrum spiral. Regardless, I'm interested as it's always nice for some new fresh spin on 2d spessmans, and it'll be better for bay12's rep among the ss13 community.

Our SS13 threads always suck.

Whoever starts it should at least have a description of the game and maintain a list of major servers with descriptions, links to wikis, and all that jazz in the OP.

Well, I was thinking just in case someone who was banned got really pissed off and decided to post on a random forum "HEY GUYS HERE'S THE PASSWORD TO A STUPID SS13 SERVER: DOGFACEDOGGERMAN GO GRIEF IT LOLZ". That has happened before.

Oh. Right. Fair point. I've been playing on, erm, the more heavily adminned server, so it was a non-issue. Also, you disgraced yourself by using the word 'grief' in regards to SS13 instead of the only trve spelling 'griff'. You must now go and redeem yourself through human sacrifice to Lord Singuloth. :P

Oh, also, need I say I am interested? xD

I was in the persona of a banned fellow. Why do you think he was banned? Also, the... erm, more heavily adminned server was my server also. I think. Stupid codespeak.

Seriously. The OP here is about as descriptive as one of the OTTD thread OPs. If I haven't played on Red Dwarf (and then occasionally tgstation or BS12), I would have no damn clue what we're talking about here.

I would be interested in this, definatly. I think the server should be private, but maybe not "Super secret" private. Like posting the password in the OP or something. So we have only people from Bay12, ideally.
Also, could anyone link a good wiki for SS13? I know the basics but.... Some of the more advanced stuff you kind of need a guide for.

Depends. Are you gonig to be on Gibbed or /tg/station code? There is two different wikis, plus one for BS12 that is not-entirely up to date with itself last I checked.

Yes, Goonstation servers have their own distinct codebase, then there is different map, different features, different art (sometimes uses original SS13 art where /tg/ has redone sprites, because honestly, original art sucked like a vacuum cleaner in a black hole) and so on.
