Dammit, I got to the point where I can't play the game anymore, because every game is a repeat of the previous one. Nothing new to see, nothing new to try. It is sad. :-\

Maybe try doing a map without something you're leaning on heavily and instead try to use a more rare reward you got? like a self imposed handicap?

and well... considering the monetary cost I think even then we'll get our moneys worth of entertainment. it almost makes me wish there were a few adds there to make me feel less guilty of enjoying the game thus far.

(I've only just got into my second game so I cant really judge)

I did already impose myself to only use wooden roads. Well, I could find another handicap. :D

Btw, I like the no-trapped-flans update, that really changed my way of doing things in the game.

I have to say that what I really love about these kinds of games is not so much the aesthetics of nice curving roads, but rather super condensed and confusing but perfectly wasteless money-making machines. I used to be able to not waste a single resource. Now it's impossible, and I find myself mindlessly changing factory positions to try to get little 2x2 squares of road to do what I want... and then put lots of little houses to remove certain specific resources that are in the way, etc.

I preferred the previous part.

I'm also a little past the honeymoon phase, and am wondering how much I'll enjoy this from now on. I'm guessing part of it is due to the update, but I dunno if it's just that.

Its amazing!
Yeah, yeah, congratulations. I've seen maps (experts) where some people have over 100k income after the end. Also, compared to some stuff I've seen, it's not nearly confusing (or insane) (or efficient) (or interesting) enough. So... good luck in the future. Hope I didn't burst any bubbles. :D

BTW, am I the only one who is unable to get the game to be muted completely? Only music is muted, and I think I'll go insane if I hear that fucking clink of coins ONE MORE FUCKING TIME.

Registered... Is it normal that you get a random name? Obviously my name is BigFig now... and though it says the first name change is free it also says I don't have enough crowns for it. :-\

edit: Okay, I think I won't play the game again. I can't say why, but it's pretty boring for me.

I decided to procrastinate and try this game out instead of doing my homework.

So, I'm in the middle of my first game, and had the unfortunate luck to land slap in the middle of a heavy wood.
After going through my first day making nothing but Oak from the huge amount of trees, I incorporated the nearby resources (water and stone) into my operation. Coming to the end of the second RL day I've been in this game, my income is at a fairly respectable 1229/day, and I've managed to reach out and touch one of my neighbours (who has three of the boss ice altars melted and supplied).

Sadly, I'm doing better than one of my other neighbours, who has train tracks AND large factories in play.

I'm ThinGrin4, in the Trivial game Ghost of the Murderous Baker, if anyone else is involved.

Decided to try it out. Looked interesting. Did the tutorial, made a account, it gave me a random name and won't allow me to put in a actual name without paying something like ten bucks.

Wow. Okay. /game.

So, some guy in this game and I are trading. He gets my diamonds and then he uses them with his rubies to make rings, which he then turns into stone rings and sells. He gets over 1000 per stone ring (base price is 772) and I get around 360. Uuh.... what?

Hey, I'm the guy next to you! Got most of the altars now.

I decided to give this a spin. I'm about a day in with the odd bit of tinkering when at home. Managed to get up to 531 daily income and feeling pretty cool for suqeezing that much out of the map. Insofar as I can tell all the other players have abandoned the game with an average of about 150 income. Well... all but one. That guy has 6,834 daily income. He's got this crazy sprawling complex dedicated to turning wood to black oak to fine lumber, which he cashes in two units of. He's bought about as much territory as the rest of the players combined, clear cuts it every day and has cleared three of the towers at the end of day 1. So in case ZanyJely39 is a B12er, I salute you sir. I am also quaking in fear.

I promise screencaps after he's had some more time to rend reality.

By the wayside, what happens when/if the map is won?
