Grafting and Companion Planting increase the amount of food farming produces rather than reducing the time it takes to do farming.

Maybe I am mistaking, but Grafting have no effect by itself, and you need the second half of the tech to actually get a second time saved.
Ah, damn... Well still it is a great thing to have considering amount of time which you save.

No dice. I already explained (on turn 8, I think) That I can produce my own food for less actions then it takes me to produce a trinket. The difference is even more pronounced for people who are not Nimble Fingers. I will, however, agree to take 1 food on turn 11 and another on turn 16 for a trinket on turn 11.
