Is this freshwater or saltwater? Because alternatively you could breed a large amount of crocodiles and unleash them into the waters... indirect genocide.

My dwarves carved me an image of a circle. A masterfully done image of a circle.

In itself, it isn't funny. But considering how in-depth dwarves go, what with entire histories being writ on a tiny ring, well...

As luck would have it, I was at a party at the time. So people wanted to know what was up. Nooone understands me but you, Urist...

I believe Leonardo da Vinci once gave the pope an image of perfect circle drawn by hand as a gift, not sure i it isn't just a rumour, though.

It was Giotto, not da Vinci, and it was recounted by Vasari, so definitely a rumor, but still the best we have from the time (seeing as Vasari more or less invented art history). Giotto painted, rather than drew (which is harder by a mile) a perfect circle when the Pope asked for a show of his skill.

"This is a well-crafted bone figurine of nothing. The item is a well-crafted figurine of two nothing in bone"

Not one, but two nothing depicted in bone! Wish I still had it.

I always seem to end up with a magnificent burial complex and nowhere near enough bodies to fill it, or far too many bodies and nowhere to put any of them.

"This is a masterfully designed image of Orlin Bloatforge the Amusing Disemboweler and Eyless Horrors by Urist Engavedays. Orlin Bloatforge the Amusing Disemboweler is embracing the Eyless Horrors."

Apparently Orlin admired Eyless Horrors for their horrifying features.

Isn't really funny, but I've had a fortress randomly named LifeSteel, and I randomized my fort in another save and got the group name The Virgin Sword, which is both fucking badass.

My favorite creature I've ever encountered was a maggot with fleshy wings that spat fire.
My last militiaman killed him on fire with a fist to the brain.
