Over The Top

A semi-minimalist RTD. You are an infantryman, either British or French in the battle of the Somme. Just state your name and your nationality. It's the first day of the Battle of the Somme and the commander just whistled so it's time to go OVER THE TOP! Thousands of Allied men charging straight at the enemy who have good trenches, barbed wire, and machine guns. Many will die in the charge, but their should be enough to take the trenches afterward. Now Go!

(This is an RTD along the lines of Roll to Redshirt, however it covers various battles of WW1. If this battle ends I'll likely skip around to stuff like Lawrence of Arabia, Verdun, Tannenburg, and the arrival of the Americans)

3000 Brits and 2000 French vs. 4000 Germans

Brits:
Fiddler jumps into a fist hole. (5) he jumps into the first hole in no man's land he finds.
Kandu aims at the enemy. (2) Too many soldiers are between him and the Germans
Robert charges towards the enemy. (1) A mortar shell blows him and several other Brits up.

British NPCs: (6) Mortar (2) Bombers(6(2)) Mine (2)
A mortar team fires at the Germans (6) They take out a machine gun nest and a British plane
3 Bombers fly towards the trenches. One is shot down by the mortar team, (1) one is hit by artillery, and (4) one kills several Germans.
Infantryman 1 snipes Germans. (2) The charge is blocking his view.
A sapper blows up a giant mine under the trenches. (1) He is the only casualty

German NPCs (2) Mortar (1) Fighters (1)
Machinegun Team 1 opens fire on the charging Brits. (1) They got killed in the opening bombardment.
Machinegun Team 2 opens fire too. (6) They massacre 20 Brits and 2 Germans
(other three go after French)

French:
Ole Chap is a pilot and strafes. (3) He shoots a German in the leg.
Guy charges at the enemy (2) He falls down.

French NPCs: (4) Mortars (2) Airplanes (1)
French Mortar team fires at the enemy. (6) They kill 10 Germans and 2 French
French Infantryman 1 charges. (5) He safely gets to the enemy trench
French Infantryman 2 charges. (4) He gets to a roll of barbed wire
French Cavalryman charges. (4) he gets to the barbed wire.

Machine gun team 3 fires at the French. (3) He kills a bunch of cavalry horses
Infantryman 1 fires on French. (3) He shoots one in the leg.
