Edit: Also when did you change your avatar? I like!
Thanks :D

Alright, I've done my mission (one of the Helios milestones) and people can see the results of my efforts here. Thoughts?
I don't think you were supposed to click End Flight...

I didn't. For future reference, you can see the flight details window without ending the flight by hitting F3.

Awesome! Sorry for the delay, I was at work and didn't expect it back so fast. OP is updated, and new rule in effect:

Rule 6: Save your craft! Save it as the next iteration of whichever program you are following. If you are the third person to attempt a Helios objective, save your craft as Helios III for example.

Also! R&D understands that the rockets we have today may not be adequate to extended duration missions. There is only so much you can stack on a 1 meter diameter rocket! So the boys in the lab have come up with a form fitting radial fuel tank! They have high hopes of stuffing other things into similar radial-mount tanks and cargo containers as well.

Redownload the pack to get the new part.

Claim
Adding you now.

LoSboccacc You're up!

taking turn now!

edit: guys, I have some kind of problem, all rockets (those done by me or even those done by others in save 1 and 2) just get stuck on the launchpad, with the pink stage lock icon on and not responding to any input (only rcs turn on and off the rcs light)

suggestions? already retried installing (unzip, remove parts, uncompress parts and plugins, copy the save to the save folder)

edit edit:
may be related to the new radial stuff added?

edit edit edit:

I have to go, it's quite late here and tomorrow will be a hard day at work.
here is my save:

That's... really odd. I'll try your craft out and see what happens.

Er... okay LoSboccacc I loaded the save you provided and went to the craft standing by for launch... nobody was in the command pod. It was empty. Thats why it couldn't launch.

Which is just weird. Still testing.

Can you give me a screenshot?

Also try saving the craft and then loading it in the VAB and launching again.

LoSboccacc: I loaded the saved craft and went to launch and now there is someone in the craft, and it works fine. How odd.

Can't. On a laptop now, and it won't run KSP.

Well I don't know WHY the command pod showed up without a kerbonaut inside, but fortunately I installed a crew transfer plugin!

So if this happens to you in the future, just hit F12 on the keyboard, click the destination module (Mk1Pod in this case) and click "Select none" on the left in the available crew, then click "Hire new crew member".

Using this you can put crew in any additional command modules you have too, for later on if you want to do multiple-kerbonaut missions with several pods.

update: I restarted and restarted until got a crewmember, but still no go.

I also noticed that right clicking on a capsule don't show food/water/oxigen/co2 as in your screenshot.

maybe a plugin acting up?
in my plugins folder I only have a TM_CTLS.dll

edit: still consider my turn ended.

but please, do launch the craft if it works for you I am curious to know if it would have worked  :P
