The hydra ate the smallest one to take the others back to the cave to eat without threat of being attacked.  Don't forget that I can throw worse at you with the ecology of the valley.

I get the feeling that I should note that the only actions I post a turn for involve a) use of the body of the hydra (ex. travel), b) combat (head or body), or c) interactions with NPCs.  Any other actions I consider role-play of a character, so it doesn't need to be rolled for.

I really don't care.  If you feel like that is something your character would do, go ahead.  I just think it is...a bit awkward to say the least.

Considering everyone has posted their reaction to it, then it isn't ignored.  However, you could move the game away from this, since it was roleplaying your characters, and:
