Considering it was gold that disappeared during the 1940s, it's overwhelmingly likely that it belongs to France.  France had over half the world's gold reserves and most of the rest was in the United States.  American gold wouldn't go missing in the German empire so I'd say it's like 90% odds the gold was French.

Neither the English. Or Americans. Or Germans. Or Russians. Or Ukrainians. Or Swedes. Or Czech. Or whoever had some bigger contact with Poland, pretty much. Jews are pretty neutral, as long as they don't want reparations from Poland (which they do, so as long as we're paying them for Holocaust, instead of Germany, they're pretty bad).
Except Turkey (Kebab in country is pretty bad at times, but Kebab in their own country is A-OK), Australia, Argentina and Italiy, a bit. They're pretty nice.

EDIT: We're talking about the countries as whole. The regular gray French didin't choose to be born in France, after all.

More like half (EDIT: If not more, actually) of cultural heritage of my country at the time. And they refuse to give it back, because their glorious museums of conquest must have something inside.
