For mixing in a salad, i'd vote for Feta but My all purpose favourite is Gouda Pesto, the green one, not the red with the tomatoes. what could possibly go wrong by mixing the best cheese with the best herbs?

Also oldest gouda is best gouda, but that goes without saying.

Out of curiosity, how do you guys pronounce 'gouda'?

Also out of curiosity, what _is_ the biggest herb? How does one measure herb biggitude?

Smoked gouda is best gouda. Gouda with herbs mixed in is also very good. I don't really like plain gouda.

Incorrectly. Everyone I know, including me, says "gowdah".

Apparently, the correct Dutch pronunciation is ['gaudä(h)] or ['gu:dä(h)]. However, in Finnish, my native language, the official pronunciation, which I also use, is ['gouda], because Finns love their cheese, diphthongs and phonetic writing.

Cheese and dipthongs sounds like a valid snacking combination. Unless you're Australian, or American and thong means something you wouldn't want your cheese anywhere near.
