Conservatives -- 112 (net +8 so far)
Labour -- 133 (-32, almost entirely in Scotland)
SNP -- 48 (+44)
Lib Dems -- 6 (-21)
UKIP -- 1 (although I can't find anything as to *where*)

The UKIP seat is somewhere in Essex. I believe they're set to at least hold onto another seat as well.

Besides, that's a poor excuse. They should run EVERYWHERE. Hell, I'm tempted to run as SNP in the next town council elections, just because.
<- Would vote for SNP if they ran in North Carolina. See, it even sounds like an Uckland place if you ignore all history and context.
Besides....blue face paint and screaming?? Please, bitches...we got Duke and Carolina. We even have Cameron Crazies. We're probably one of the most Scottish states in the US, due to the (wee) heavy settlement of Scots in the Appalachians.

I say we run as SNP on a platform of becoming Scotland's furthest western island. Sure, we'll have to change our name to something like North Kilkirknesslochshire, but it'll be worth it.

EDIT: SNP total is at 50 now. Utter domination.

Ahh yeah, I'm seeing that rural surge effect you lot were talking about.

Tories now have 135 (still +8), Labour just 148 (-33 now).

The SNP has increased their number of seats more than tenfold in a single election. That's just staggering. And they're not just squeaking out wins, they're thoroughly dominating in most elections. Outright majorities.

Try 53. The Tories, Lib Dems, and Labor have thus far all only held on to one seat each. Is this what it felt like to be a mammoth on the day humanity threw its first spear?

inb4 Orkney& Shetland become the Lib Dem redoubt.

The Liberal Democrats of Skara Brae....which was a ghost town in Ultima IV, inhabited only by the shades of the dead. Which is a pretty apt description of the Liberal Democrats after tonight.

55 comfirmed... you reckon the majority of the remaining constituencies are tory? I think the polls say so, but am unsure.

Can we safely say that democracy has failed us? Because I don't know how else you could frame this.

The only failure I see here is that of Cannabis Is Safer Than Alcohol and the Al-Zebabist Nation of Ooog. Also, kudos to the British National Party for managing to beat out the terrifying opposition Class War.

Oh, and sure enough SNP rounds out the night at 56 seats, a gain of +50. Literally only the party strongholds of the main three retained their seats. Labor is screwed, but Scottish Laor (they lose another letter) is essentially deceased.

Labour and the SNP combined are sitting at 273 seats right now and the Tories alone have 276, with most of the remaining seats looking very blue (or possibly purple). The worst case scenario for the Tories at this point would probably be a very big coalition with UKIP, the LibDems and the Ulster Unionists.
