No, the head of government is the one leading the government, aka the Cabinet.

This might be flamebait, but I'm curious about what people think about it. Just ignore the title, they need their clicks. I suspect much of it is nonsense, but I really don't know where to start on the question.

Don't know how to start on the question as a jew?

The problem/complication in mainiac's analogy is that in the UK we also have a Speaker of the House of Commons. Though they are sitting MPs they're supposed to be non-partisan - so they renounce all party affiliation on taking office. They can choose who gets to speak, discipline unruly MPs etc. A Presiding Officer in other words.

In Scotland we have exactly the same thing in the form of a "Presiding Officer", also non-partisan.

That sounds like something that could put some discipline into congress, only problem is, (most) everybody is polarized and even if they dropped party affiliation, they'd still do it along party lines. Would have been useful to tell Ted Cruz to STFU when he did that filibuster of his.

Yes I know this is the EUROPEAN politics thread.....

Edit: What do you mean by choose who gets to speak? Like by what criteria? Or is it more 'Hey, HEY! It's not your turn, shut up!' kind of thing?

In other news, the ECB managed to upset the German left or something. Riots in Frankfurt, cars, public transport and firefighters were attacked.

I dropped by specifically to see if there was any talk about this.

Here Bercow upbraids an MP for not speaking into the mic.
Here he throws out an MP for calling out the rest of them as the pack of lying dogs that they are.

God he's such a smug bastard.

I think the words you were looking for is "sanctimonious dwarf" or something to that effect.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Lately this cute propaganda piece makes rounds on Internet. It sarcastically says "I am russian occupant" and presents few examples how good life was under Soviets and how bad it was after kicking out said Soviets. Thoughts?

I agree with their motives, but not with their methods.
...for the time being, that is.
