Productive behavior requires much less traffic. And encouraging people to conserve resources is something I like.
A) I don't think that statement is always true.
B) What resource is it that you want to conserve? Information?

Duh, porn. After all that's what the Internet is for. The Ukrainian Porn Mines estimate the depletion of currently extracted sources of crude smut until 2043.

Dude, that's such a broken metric. They've got centuries worth of shale smut that they haven't even tried to exploit yet.

41.9627 RUB / 1 USD at 11-30 Moscow time.

That's 1.43 RUB less than it was YESTERDAY.

EDIT: It's 41.8357 RUB / 1 USD now (13:03). What the fuuuuuuuuck.

That's some really high level fuckery, indeed.

It's so high I don't see any news telling about what the central bank even did to achieve that result!

EDIT: 42.0716059 RUB / 1 USD now (13:15).

That's some fast moving market.

No, that's actually the ruble raising vs. the dollar. But yeah, the Central Bank has been pumping billions to prop up the ruble, maybe they just stepped up their propping up.

Or maybe the growing bubble of increasing currency price has finally started to pop.

Yesterday it went from 43.4 to 41.7 rubles per dollar in just one hour. It got as low as  41.2 rubles later in the day.  Today It got back to 42.3 and then it started to go down again. Now it is 42.1

It may be central bank of Russia, it may be some Forex games played by large players. It may be both.

http://www.investing.com/currencies/usd-rub  Here is a good graph. Pick 30 minutes step to see the last days

Edit 41.7 now. I know one thing for sure. Someone is making\losing a lot of money on that dance

In other news, the new administrator of our federal center for equality (in charge of enforcing the anti-discrimination laws) just has been appointed. He's a Flemish Nationalist who is known to oppose anti-discrimination statutes and went on the record in 2004 saying he felt "morally obliged" to vote for the far-right Vlaams Block after it had been condemned for racism.

I fucking hate this government.

Clearly the best government for Belgium is no government at all.

In the 1950's, Hungary was under the cusp of Rakosi, one of the "Little Stalins", autocratic leaders propped up by Moscow and looking up to Russia as a model. Now, Hungary got a "Little Putin", and they didn't even need the Red Army this time.

Why don't we have a way to suspend countries from the EU again?

That always pisses me off. I just don't get it. WHY do you want more power? You've got power already! Why do you want more money? You're already swimming in the fucking stuff!

It's hoarding for the sake of hoarding, which is something I seriously can't understand.
Why do rich people want to get even more rich, even though they already have enough money for everything, I can't understand too.

Or in the old-fashioned Swedish way or expressing it: "Much wants more".

Although that really doesn't explain anything. I just like that saying.

* LordSlowpoke rolls eyes

because hungary is not the only place where the government caters to big business(tm) rather than the people

also if we had such powers everyone would get suspended within a week

best you can do is get anyone you can out of hungary because the place is pretty much fucked - the guy running the show was elected democratically, after all
