Apparently a Russian ship Professor Logachev, specialized in underwater mapping and search/survey, has departed St. Petersburg yesterday and is currently off Hankoniemi. Her destination is "Las Palmas".

She has her AIS on and can be followed on marinetraffic.com

I'm not yet convinced that this vessel has anything to do with this incident as its not owned by Russian authorities but apparently by a US underwater survey company CGGE International.

When it passed Tallinn a few dutch patrol corvettes from the local NATO detachment left port and casually went on a parallell course, so the ship has caught someone's interest.

Glancing at swedish television now and then, their media is on rumour overdrive right now. Can't be easy for the navy to conduct anti-submarine ops in a narrow sealane filled up with reporters in small boats. Each navy vessel has a few cameras chasing them.

The main current of rumoureportry says that SÄPO appears to be looking for people on the ground now. "Men wading" and "a man dressed in black" are reported to have been spotted in the archipelago.

Yes, they've hit that level of journalism.

Submarine is dutch apparently
No, we already know about the dutch submarine hanging around. They're there to train whatever. The Swedfense is looking for the possible submarine that's not supposed to be there.

Also, "dive boat". So cute~ :v

Looks like the Professor Logachev has turned off her AIS now. The large Dutch warships HNLMS Zeeland and Evertsen remain visible.

Interesting.  :)

edit: actually Professor Logachev is still there: right next to Evertsen. There is only 1-2km or so between them(Evertsen clearly escorts/monitors the Russian ship from starboard and behind) so I didnt find it at first.

The Swedish Armed Forces have released an exclusive high-definition photo of that submarine threatening Stockholm.
It may look like an unrecognisable black dot, but it differs from other unrecognisable black dots: it's obviously a Russian dot, and Russian dots are unique in their unrecognisability and can hardly be confused with other black dots. :P

High definition link to the photo itself

P.S. "Av den information som idag finns tillgänglig kan Försvarsmakten inte dra den slutsats som media gör om en skadad rysk ubåt. Försvarsmakten har ingen information om nödsändning eller att en nödfrekvens har använts"

A military representative in local news here is also thinking that there is submarine activity confirmed in Swedish waters. Probably a diesel-electric or a mini sub that may or may not still be out there.

So far it looks like its a Russian one(the distress call, the other activities, and how Russia has been actively sailing its subs on the Baltic for the past summer in exercises or something). This is perfectly normal though, armed forces of all nations perform all kinds of intelligence activities all the time. Just an operation gone bad in a politically already warmed up times. Obviously also just more bad news for Russia's international reputation(unless the sub is confirmed to be say German or Polish).

Speaking of Polish things, Polish counterintelligence has arrested two guys - a military officer and, I think, a businessman - for spying for Russia. Don't have time to look for a source right now, sorry.

In Polish it's "underwater boat". It's fun to think how the process of languages adapting to the concept of these not meaning "broken boat" worked in detail. For example, when was it no longer necessary to add "in a good way!" whenever you mentioned that half of your fleet was underwater.
