Yeah, that fortifications are more or less for keeping people busy and boosting their morale

Meanwhile, my not very reliable sources say that probing attack on Mariupol is started.  Typical Russian tactic to gather intelligence data and then use artillery

As for taking Mariupol with small assault teams... I don't mind if Russian will do just that and send its soldiers to die, but I expect very heavy shelling, it is the only realistic way to capture the city.

one problem with that

the rebels didn't exactly "capture" any ships of the ukrainian navy yet

i wonder how they would play that, it's easy to just grab an old apc and toss it at people but ships are sorta unique
