I said it already. That Maidan was supported by all opposition politicians and millions of Ukrainians. That Maydan just a group of people who settled on the central street of the capital. Literally. Some of them may actually believe that they are continuing unfinished job of Maidan, that means nothing. People want them out.
Should Ukrainians decide that new government deserves new Maidan, hundreds of thousands will restore it in a matter of hours. No need for permanent settlement with permanent barricades

I'm not surprised as the rebels were losing for the last few weeks, The situation in Kiev is worrying however.

The rebels were steadily losing since late May, if we don't count the occasional counter strikes. Strelkov has been calling for Russian intervention numerous times since then, but all his pleas were ignored.

Western democratic governments can't be evil at all, got it.

However, evilness is subjective. From an American point of view, its offensive military actions abroad may seem noble and benevolent. For some reason, people on the receiving end of these military actions tend to have a different view of American foreign policies.
