English, Welsh and Northern Irish people, are you my best friends?

Don#t worry Scotty. We'll be your friends.

I'd much rather have the Scandinavians as friends anyway. They've never threatened to erect border posts and destabilise our economy out of spite.

you've got a nice bundle of stereotypes and decided that only one of them might not correspond to reality and needs to be questioned

at least if they are being somewhat intelligent about it.

This is the problem though. The bell curve of idiocy has a long tail of ignorance on all sides.

I'm not sure if a bell curve is what you're going for here.

When there are 99% for independence.  ;)

What should be the next question?

Did you not say that it would involve further questions like "if yes, why so?" then some options, as well as "if no, why?" etc?

What should the options be?

Well, I think a lot of people voted Yes because they wanted to weaken or in some way get at the UK. Maybe we could have some options like "I wanted to weaken the UK" or "I think the rest of the UK will be better off" or "I think Scotland will be better off" and things like that? I am unsure, I am bad at coming up with polling questions due to my own bias.

  • Voted yes because Scotland will benefit from independence.
  • Voted yes because there is a moral impetus for independence.
  • Voted yes because it confounds British politics and power.
  • Voted no because Scotland won't benefit from independence.
  • Voted no because there is a moral impetus for union.
  • Voted no because it confounds EU politics and power.
  • Voted undecided/Abstained for various reasons.
