Maybe they are counting land trade between Scotland (I know it's not a 100% independent country yet) and Britian and theres the chunnel where trade is definetly going through.

I thought there wasn't a solid land bridge between UK and Ireland? I'm sure there are bridges though and like I said, theres also the channel tunnel.

Putin is an Imperialist, not an idiot. He's got what he wanted - Ukraine has been destabilised to the Nth degree and Crimea has been annexed. The West has been reminded that he is King in that area

Putins actions came at the cost of perhaps a 1.5% decline in Russian GDP per year for the next 10 years.  With an estimate of a 50% return to trend factor (which is probably high in these circumstances), that represents a 600 Billion dollar price tag.

The west hasn't been informed that Putin is "the king" in the area.  It has been informed that he doesn't respond to the incentives that they thought he did.  So Putin will get the sort of carrots and sticks more like what places like Iran get instead of the kinds of carrots and sticks that places like China get.

You mean the HMS Penis Extension? It's sad to think of what that money could have been spent on at home. Westminster has no sense of priorities though; Labour, Tory or Lib Dem they'd still splash cash senselessly on extremely expensive military equipment while people in districts in Scotland are too poor to buy food and have a life expectancy the same as that of Gaza and North Korea.
