Nobody believes England is going to become a stable area for Labor, so there's no reason that the results of a single leftward-swing will make a meaningful impact.

I just gave you a reason!  You might disagree with me but it's not like there isn't an argument.

You gave me a rather silly reason and a misattributed reason.

And you gave me a silly reason and no argument at all.

The thing it's going to be a really close vote if Independence win. Even if a Labour government in Westminster (with a repeal of stuff like the bedroom tax) only shave off a fraction of a percentage point off the Yes vote, it might be enough.

The Netherlands must outlaw downloading, EU court rules

:c

Meh, there's a Spanish saying about countryside and doors that applies pretty well.

It's an unenforceable law. Don't worry.

Well, nothing is going to happen really. What happened is that a tax intending to compensate the media industry for piracy damage is now gone, but the Netherlands is not being forced to go on an anti-piracy offensive or anything.

Hell, copyright holders will be worse off, as they no longer get the piracy levy, and still won't see a decrease in piracy.

It's an unenforceable law. Don't worry.
Even better. The EU ruling doesn't even require enforcement of said law.

Update: The Dutch Government confirmed to Tweakers that downloading copyrighted material for personal use is no longer allowed, effective immediately.

The Government also clarified that in general offenses will be prosecuted through civil cases, not criminal ones. We have updated the title of this article accordingly.
??
Doesn't that mean it's being enforced?

It won't be enforced by law, but copyright holders will be allowed to sue.

Anyway. I kind-off remember the dutch copyright protection thingy being rather happy with it's lawsuits against sites and such in the past.

But first they have to catch you downloading something, which can be avoided with some care.

In that case the same should apply to Sweden then. They've had a "piracy tax" added to the price on all storage media since the cassette tape got introduced. I think it's close to 20 USD on hard drives.
