The 'local scum' seem pretty uncontrolled for a group supposedly controlled by people that Putin gives orders to. They took Russian journalists hostage at one point FFS.
Of cause there are some chaos, it's hard to control a armed crowd even if you have a small highly trained force to command and coordinate them. Alcoholics with AKs are not the most disciplined kind of force, even if you mix it with top pros. We have: Russian Neo-nazies, Radical Commies,  Don Cossacks, members of totalitarian orthodox Christianity sects, North Caucasians, gang members, gullible unemployed\poor guys who believe in better life under Russia, mercs who came for money, police officers who are afraid of new government, and some highly trained special forces guys.... That mix isn't easy to control.  I am amazed by the fact that they have so few internal conflicts. Maybe just a case of common enemy and should Ukrainian army pull away we'll see Somalia that even Russians will not be able to stop

As I said before, arming and training radicals may backfire for Russia some time later

Diplomatic dialogue is possible only with Putin. It his forces supported by various local scum. He gives orders to them.

Just because Putin gives them orders doesn't mean they follow them!

Careful, lest this thread goes the way the Ukraine crisis thread did.

Apparently the UK doesn't want to pay for the Ukraine. And also other EU schemes as well. Kind of silly really.

This is something I've always seen as childish for the UK government. In regards to the EU, the government seems to think we shouldn't give, but get everything back.

Yes, the British government is British.  We should have stuck a flag in Europe while we had the chance.

You could try it with micronations. Don't need much help with them...

So the fight for commission president is heating up. Merkel sided with Junker, and apparently doesn't want to pick a fight with the Parliament. However, Cameron, along with the Finns, Dutch and Hungarian apparently don't want to choose him. Cameron is the biggest pain in the ass: his Tories left Junker's EPP, and letting the parliament de facto choose the Commission president, especially such an eurofederalist as Junker simply won't look good to his backbenchers.

So what is Cameron's doing? He's threatening to bring the referendum forward. Yeah. Scotland better get independent quickly if they don't want to be dragged out of the Union.

The referendum wont end with the Uk out of the union. IIRC, it's a 3 question referendum, and I'm pretty sure most Uk citizens are going to vote to renegotiate the Uk membership. Defenitly the first step, as you don't simply renegotiate anything with the EU.
