They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

I would actually consider doing this if I had a working computer with internet.

Interesting article. Though at the end it seems to suggest that we will see a wider war within a year, but things are changing day by day in this situation. It's not a complete analogy because Putin can't do anything without people seeing what's happening instantly and that wasn't true in the 1930s and 1940s.

"UKIP is not a political party, but rather the id of English conservatism writhing free from the national subconscious."
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
That looks like hysterical mania. May want to...tone it down.

I don't really see what the point of that article is. Other than its tone, it uses barely any fact and seems to operate heavily upon opinion.

Quote
This is not the philosophy of a political party; it is the fantasy of half-cut, white, middle-aged men in a pub in Northampton. It's not that these views don't have a right to be represented - of course they do - but they must be resisted, because they will lead to yet more division, resentment and wasted years: a very English oblivion. If people vote for UKIP en masse they will legitimise it. Then it will be a political party. Then we really will be living in troubled and anxious times.

This is their conclusion, and as such may be seen as summing up their argument. These views, as they say, have a right to be represented, but we with different views must resist them! Yes, that, of course, makes sense.

Division and wasted years. Well, I wonder what the SNP is trying to achieve, if not division. They also speak of UKIP fighting a cultural war...if so, that article sounds like a call to arms for the other side, and as such must be treated as the propaganda it is.

No, you fool. Don't have an ounce of sense if you lend support to the millipede.

Yes, yes. I know what the Id is. It works on the principle of pleasure.

But where does UKIP say they are the Id? As far as I can see, unless I missed a part of the article somehow, the only thing calling them the id is the article itself. So, they didn't call themselves the id, from what I can see.

Dwarf, they call themselves the id.

Quote
the id is the set of uncoordinated instinctual trends

Basically, they call themselves uncoordinated and instinctual.

Also this:
Quote
UKIP promotes the culture of base instinct, not ideas or facts. Rationality is the enemy (this is something it does have in common with the Tea Party)

Look where the Tea Party got our Republican party and just in general XD Total laughingstocks and they're the ones who started the 'don't compromise' thing. I don't think you guys in the UK want that. Then again, you have the benefit of having more than two (major) parties to work with.

BTW, I consider myself an independent, with democrat leanings, though I've become more strongly democrat with the republicans behavior.

Misssing the point a bit.

Vote millipede,  vote cameras, vote salmons, vote barrage, vote pegs and disregard greens.

Ah, I see. Never heard them called that before. Your statement seemed a bit random to me.

Where are you getting the millipede thing from? Not the image, the reference.

"UKIP is not a political party, but rather the id of English conservatism writhing free from the national subconscious."

I remember a party in the early '30s that had some success with that line. A real triumph of the will, so to speak.
