Honestly I'm pretty surprised by just how low Golden Dawn's share of the vote is.  One would be hard pressed to think of conditions that would be more conductive to a racist, anti-european and xenophobic party winning elections.  They've been fucked by the international community (with quite a few Jewish bankers playing a role even) and they literally have hordes of Muslims overwhelming their country.  If the Nazis can't break 7% of the vote in conditions like that, Greece is pretty much Nazi-proof.

He'll probably linger on until it mostly blows over and then resign when a less humiliating opportunity to quit comes along.

If it sticks it'll result in a huge blow to his authority making controlling his own party, let alone wider political matters, extremely difficult making him a poor leader for the party, and I doubt he'd want to resign as a direct result of the allegations, after all who wants to be remembered as the man who resigned over pig-gate? Better to wait until a challenge over policy by another Conservative MP and quietly step down.
