I, for one, welcome our new Welsh overlords.
I cannot comprehend what a fourfold increase in sheep jokes across the nation would do to the Isles. I suspect absolute calamity.
Everybody gets a sheep. No exceptions. That's the new immigration policy. You can only get in if you bring a sheep. The entrance exam is to bugger it, after which you're welcome with open wooly arms.

E: Though, thinking on it, that would probably actually cause a intake rate along the lines folks like UKIP would prefer, wouldn't it? Interesting thought. Population management through sheep molestation, the newest trend in social engineering!

If the UK wants rid of the sheep jokes I am sure Scotland and the UK could come to an amicable arrangement. In exchange for independence we would be glad to take the jokes off your hands so that we could apply them to people from Aberdeen. Or, alternatively, everyone north of Moodiesburn if you take a Glasgow-centric perspective. I don't know if there's an Edinburgh equivalent.

... it's really hard not to read that as moodiesbum and wonder exactly whether or not you've added another layer to the sheep joke or not.

Shagging-on-the-wald sounds line somewhere in England, in Scotland it would either be shaggburn, shaggmannanshire, shagclyde, or I might also accept shag mor.

What you don't foresee is that the sheep jokes would take over the EU through the freedom of movement principle... Every EU nation would be defenceless. The continent would sink under an unprecedented 30-fold increase in sheep jokes. I'm not even sure planet Earth could handle that many wooly bants.

unrelated music to set the mood of this post
Meanwhile, Ukrainian media claim that Novorossiyan forces (or Russian terrorist forces as they usually call them) have attacked the Ukrainian-controlled frontline town of Mar'inka, which is situated about 24-25 km to the SW from the centre of Donetsk. Heavy fighting is in progress right now.
At this time, Novorossiyan sources are varied, some say nothing (Colonel Cassad) or repeat the Ukrainian claims (Rusvesna). Voice of Sevastopol used to claim Ukrainians attacked them first, now they claim Novorossiyan forces are currently advancing at Mar'inka. Russian sources are mostly silent asides from their typical articles like "X people were killed by Ukraine shelling in Y".

Ukraine's Liveuamap website shows menacing Russian arrows all around Donetsk, Russia's Militarymaps.info shows a lone arrow pointing at Mar'inka from DNR territory and lots of artillery strikes in and around Donetsk.
