Couldn't hurt - it's kinda weird to see this thread oscillate between random European stuff and Scottish local plitics.

Scottish national politics is the politics of Europe, just as much as Syriza in Greece. That will become more apparent closer to the UK's upcoming EU referendum.

Maybe we should make a new continent out of Great Britian, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, and Doggerland to solve this issue once and for all. Hail Atlantica.

Uh, what issue are you talking about?

Iceland is its own country and Greenland is a colony of Dennmark. Doggerland is that landmass in the North Sea which got exposed and settled during the ice age and 'sunk' when the ice age ended isn't it?

I think the fact that Scotland won't embarrass itself by trying to compete at Eurovision is probably the only upside to the No vote last September.
