Funding rebels because seriously, fuck those guys.
((They're basically the new Mongols.  I gotta say, I have a newfound respect for the Jamaican police force after playing this game.))

OH. Okay, I see. I was thinking it was just the wall, not the whole floor :P

So, I still want to take a good look outside, and the floor above. Then move on to the next open door down the hall. Quietly.

These last few turns haven't gone at all like I thought they would :(.  Oh well, I guess I'll just try and perform a "heroic sacrifice" to save my men.

*Sigh*  Alright men, here's what's going to happen.  I'm going to run out and distract the enemy.  I'll lead them to the upper floors of the building and keep them occupied while taking out as many as I can.  Meanwhile, I want you guys to wait until they run past this room and upstairs after me at which point you should run out of here and try to get back to base.  I'm glad to have known you all.  Goodbye...

Push aside the dresser a bit, so I can open the door.  Run out into the hallway and towards the stairs.  Wait until they can see me and then shoot once and run up the stairs so that they follow me.  When I get to the highest floor possible, run into a room and hold out there while shooting enemies whenever possible.

((I'm okay if I die Gun, but do me a solid favor and roll well for my men so they can escape.))

Nope, I don't think so, but you're in there now. Also, no need to put crap around your posts, there aren't many players on at once so its very easy for me to keep track. ^-^

Call out towards the light, pick prepared if whoever/whatever it is happens to be violent.

Do you want to walk close enough to see him first? Or just yell from all the way across the room?

He's sacrificing himself for the good of his squad, the best thing a soldier can do.

I'm not sure if it'll work but I figure it's the best chance they have for survival.  I don't feel bad for killing those survivors but oddly enough (considering this is just a game) I feel bad about sort of dooming my squad. (I blame these spontaneous emotions on Gun's good writing.  Curse you Gun! :P)  Anyway, I'm really hoping my squad will survive.  If they do, I might even visit them again when I reincarnate as a new character.

Besides, acting as a distraction for the enemy doesn't necessary mean I'm going to die... it just drastically increases the chances...

Yeah, I'm very attached to my character. And Terrence. So much love for my little blob.

Pufferfish
You look down into the floor below. It simply leads back into the lobby, and if you lay down and stick your head out far enough, you can make out the front desk as well as the door that you entered the hotel through. You get to your feet, slapping the dust from your clothes and Terrence, and make the decision to retain the element of discretion, leaving the room without making a sound.

gman8181
You stand up quietly. The men stare at you curiously, unsure of exactly what you intend to do. Waters mumbles, confused, and concerned. Boss..? A look of horrific realisation crosses their faces as you step around the dresser and walk towards the door, pushing another shell into your trench gun. You turn your head towards the others and utter a single word. Live.

You hardly hear their fleeting cries of anguish as you crash through the door and into the hall, blasting two surprised men in the chest, launching them back and into the rest of their group. Without missing a beat you jack the action, sending a smoking shell spinning through the air, then fire another shot into the tangled mess of screaming bodies. You turn and run in the opposite direction, boots thumping against the wood as you rush down the hall towards the stairwell at the opposite side of the building. The sounds of pursuit reach you just as you throw the door open, and you hear a bang and the snap of a near miss as a round thuds into the wall beside you. You dive inside the stairwell and drop Marburg's grenade into the hall, kicking the door closed behind you. You're already halfway up the first flight of steps by the time you hear it go off. It doesn't slow the hunters down for long however, and you soon hear them pounding up the stairs not far behind you. You turn briefly and fire another shot in the hope that they'll take pause, but you don't wait to see if it had any effect. You soon reach the top floor, and quickly scramble through the exit and onto the roof, slamming the metal door behind you. The door rocks as men slam into it and you drop your shotgun, leaning heavily against the door. The pushing grows stronger and the shouted threats grow louder as more and more men pile against the door. Hot tears run down your face as you come to terms with the fact that you're about to die. You sob loudly, fighting hard to just to stay on your feet, and suck in quivering gasps of air as you grunt and battle to hold your ground. Then, for just a moment, your mind clears, and a strange feeling settles into your stomach. You feel, at peace.. You stop struggling, and the door bursts open. You don't even bother reaching for your knife.

Jim is dead.

SomeStupidGuy
You approach the distant shape, and it quickly resolves into that of another miner. He is facing away from you and wearing a cap pulled tightly over his head, he shivers rapidly as he roots around in a pile of wooden boxes, upon one of which his gas lamp is set. You call out to him. Hello…?

He spins around at the sound, brandishing a small shovel threateningly, and you're immediately struck by how disheveled he looks. His young face is pale and smeared with grime, and the sleeves of his blue button-down cotton shirt are torn and stained with blood, as if he stuck his arms in one of those blood bins you see in slaughterhouses. He calls out excitedly. Where the fuck did you come from?
