"Thank you, it really calms me down. And sorry about that arranged marriage situation. Gregor is handsome, but... but I don't want to force anyone into a marriage. Besides... I would have to leave the church and break by vows, and that's the last thing I want to do." Alexandra smiled, and then laid her hand on the door's knob.

"Anything else? No, I think not... sleep lightly so you don't miss the gong. And good luck. I will pray for your safety." With that, she opened the door, slipped outside and closed the door with quietest 'thud' possible.

Seyena grumbled.
"How the hell does she expect us to sleep? 'Oh, hey, my father is planning to kill you. Sleep tight, now!'"

Gregor simply experienced a sinking feeling. What would the morning bring? Would Alexandra and her father survive? Only time would tell.

A low snore escaped from the far end of the room, where Valor had fallen asleep before Alexandra had even arrived.

The night slowly passed into early morning - the darkness outside became greyness of the dawn.

The servant opened the door and whispered few words, and Anja, Matild and Salvatore were taken away. Time slowly passed, and there was no second gong. Everything outside the room was silent, when...
