Turn 33 - 40:

Site:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
After dinner everyone heads over to the shrine to watch the sacrifice. The trappers head over and get into their bedrolls for the night.

Monty had a flint brought over for the burning but apparently there was no need. Once Monty finishes his speech about offering the browt to Fellhawk to honor their agreement the browt bursts into green flames which burn away the flesh entirely but leave the skeleton unharmed. The bones then transform into the shape of a large axe.

When the axe appears you hear a voice in your head.

"My followers, I have bestowed upon you the Fellaxe so that you may use it to free the ancient tree in the ash forest. The tree has prayed to me to be released from life and I have chosen you to answer its prayers. Simply piece the bark of the tree with the Fellaxe and the deed will be done."

The voice goes away, apparently everyone else heard Fellhawk too.

After everyone calms down you set up some watches and head to bed.

Then you wake up:

Most people are awake but no one is working.

Gargle is talking to his new assistant and it looks like they may have looked around for more filth before you woke up.

Monty is leading a few of the villagers in prayer.

You feel like setting up your forge. It'll take 5 stone and two man-turns.

The Fellaxe is missing in the inventory ;)

Let the 2 hunters and the yolc head to the river and take the barrel with them. Look for prey to hunt and let the yolc refill the barrel.
Maybe 1 or 2 additional villagers could assist the hunters.

Miner should mine, woodcutters should cut wood.

Gargle and his assistent can keep gathering filth.

The carpenter should make a table and after that a hatset (good name? :) ).
Maybe someone could help her.

Can someone help Yoick to let the forge be finished quicker?

Three or four villagers should be left now. Let three of them head to the east and check out what's behind the hatshive.

If one villager is still left now, let him gather berries and fruits.

Appoint them as the Farmer and have them plant one of the fruits. And also determine if all the trees at our camp are the same species. Otherwise +1...

Have the hunters look for the ancient ashen tree and hunt some food on their way.

The woodworkers should fell that tree and make planks.
Also, is that axe a boon or is this god giving us work to do?

We really should investigate that fruit tree some time.

So, the tasks in the morning should be:

Crafting:
-Have the carpenter make a ladder to get fruit.
-Have an unspecialized human make baskets to carry fruit and berries (goblins are dumber than humans, right?)
-Have the carpenter make a table for dinner (you can make a ladder in less than a day, I think)

Other stuff:
-Gather food, doesn't matter what.
-Make palisade-reinforced door at mine to make it a bunker
-Make a hats pen. Capture more hats. Dye hats. Sell hats as hats in the village and become a fashion designer.
-Look for something to use as a durable light source until we discover glowing mushrooms (I hope they appear at some point)
-Make the woodworkers keep chopping wood.

Our Avatar:
-Make a Forge to make tools/weapons/something out of the metal.

More ideas?

These were the tasks I proposed to do in the morning a turn ago, should we implement them?

I think maybe forget about the hats for now, use some wood to build a simple fence around our village, nothing that can't be dismantled easily, but enough to keep out scavengers.

-Make the woodworkers keep chopping wood. Prioritize the ancient ashen tree.

Also, bolding is fun

A good first step in finding the tree is to ask the trapers. Being from the area they are likly to know.
Also on that note try selling the skins to them.

Don't forget to refill the water.

And i'd say the first self-made tools should be a hoe, another hammer and maybe another pickaxe?
But it takes 5 turns till the forge is ready anyway, so there's enough time to decide that.

And while we don't need more hats right now, at least let the carpenter make the hatset.

Can the trappers tell us where that ash forest is? Or more specific where that ancient tree is?
Can we use the boneaxe for every tree? Or would this make the wood unusable?
