Turn 32:Site:You try to recall how the
followers of Fellhawk have been treated in the past.
Indifference and suspicion mostly but with some
violence. In the
south where you are from
large religious institutions are usually destroyed because they gather to much power and the
warring nobles don't like having enemies that can shoot
lightning/raise the dead/regenerate limbs. Because your cult has been
small and
quiet nobody has paid much attention to it, just like the other small cults spread around. Being a cult following a
god of death has put it in conflict with some very fervent
life cults. You think that a life cult following the
god of life 'Prae' is responsible for wiping out all of
Fellhawk followers in one city. No one is really sure though because the
city guard killed them all and it is possible that the
guards are the ones who killed the
followers of Fellhawk as well...
You invite the
trappers to share food with you as a gesture of
good faith, overall you don't gain any food but it's a good social exercise.
You talk to the
trappers a bit yourself to learn more about the
region. To the
north of the
pass is a predominantly
human/yolc region with a few
villages and the odd
town. There are also
tribes of mungos in the thicker
forests which have a habit of turning into
bandits if particularly
violent individuals decides they want to lead them, this has lead to some
skirmishes. To the
south (where you came from) is a large region composed of
multi-racial city-states which are constantly at war with each-other for whatever reason. You segue into asking about
religions in the north. The
trappers tell you that in the
north people tend to ignore religion since the common man rarely sees the benefits of their worship. The gods only grant power to a few so people don't bother. There are a few
religious institutions in the
larger towns though, mostly
mana and life worship.

Alright, next turn is the sacrifice.
I was going to update last night before I went to sleep but I couldn't decide if I should have dinner and the sacrifice in one turn since I think last night you guys went to sleep at this point. Staying up late for a sacrifice to the god of death is probably an okay thing though. I gave you some general background knowledge on the region(s) as well as the information you wanted. I'll do another update in about 5-6 hours or so.
If on the off chance no one comments I'll just go with letting the trappers do whatever they want and go ahead with the sacrifice.
Informative post.
