Name the two ridgebacks 'Ridgebeck' and 'Ridgebick' respectively. And pick some of those fruit, plant one of them, and try to sell them too...

Turn 30:

Site:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The miner emerges from the mine covered in dirt. She tells you that it's getting difficult to see inside the mine even during the day it's getting that deep. You find it hard to pay attention to her though because you are talking to the carpenter about a contraption that keeps the hats on your head. She agrees to make you a hat to hold your hats.

Vulgaras lights the campfire since it's getting dark.

You tell everyone who isn't working to go and see if they can gather some of the berries and fruit.

The wood workers stop work partly because of the time and partly because they want to talk to the trappers who are setting up their camp.

Gargle finishes skinning the first browt and has his assistant throw the guts into the pit. Monty wants to burn the browt that has just been skinned now.

South(Stream):
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The goblin approaches the Ridgebacks but they begin to emit a low growl, the goblin backs away before realizing that they are in fact growling at some animals that have just come into view.

The other animals don't seem too concerned.

Name the new animals 'Bogbles'.

Carpenter: design the hats hat with crenalations. And see if there are any pretty rocks you can embed into it.

I think we should make a few training weapons out of wood (or use sticks) and get the 3/4 non professionals learning fighting skills. Also think we should experiment in making weapons with the grey steel and the other hexium schtuff.

edit: oh, and you forgot to mention the grey metal in the inventory spoiler.

I would not have noticed that for ages. I do inventory changes by just looking through the list so because i never added it I would have never have noticed.

EDIT: I thought you might want to know that the information post has been updated.

I'd say, since RAM was the first to suggest a name for them, we call the new animals Bogbles.

if we really want to catch some more hats we should consider blocking off a few of they burrows with large rocks and set up a snare or a simple cage trap at the unclosed burrow.

its worth a try. but we should be carefull about decimating their population.

I don't think we need that much hats atm.
Maybe Monty could wear a black one (coloured with ash?) and Gargle a red one (coloured with blood).
Or we catch more to sell them (and spread out their meaning for us to other villages),

So what browt do you want to burn? Monty has his heart set on the one with all it's legs just so you know.

I won't be updating for like, 10 hours, because i'll be asleep.

Can we burn them in the Greek tradition. Ie, all the waste and less juicy parts that aren't in the pit yet get burned, while we get to eat the edible parts.

I'd say we give him the one he wants. We have enough fruits and berries as additional food, so no one will be hungry because we only have one browt to eat ;)

Back off immediatly if it does anything remotely aggressive, like growling.
Or killing.

Sounds like a good idea.

This, but just two to start.

Meh. Not until we have more metal to burn. Use it for tools for now.

I would like to point out the similarities the new critters have to green ridgebacks. Thus, I suggest we name them tusked ridgebacks, or tuskies for short.

Turn 31:

Site:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The only people still working are the goblin you left to tend to the smelter as well as Vulgaras and another villager that Monty conscripted into moving a slab of rock into place to burn the browt on.

Everyone else is standing around waiting for Gargle to start handing out meat so dinner can start. Some of the villagers vocalize their wish for a large table to eat dinner around.

You don't think the fruit, berries and browt meat will be enough food for everyone tonight so you'll have to cut into some of the dried meats that the migrants brought with them to make do. You would have been more then fine for food if you didn't have to burn that browt, maybe some of it will still be edible after the burning is done. Although eating that could offend Fellhawk, you'd like to ask Monty but he's a bit busy.

South(Stream):

Both Jaymi and the goblin have both become hunters!

The animals pass by and the ridge-backs begin to head southeast. Jaymi and the goblin decide to head back to the village.
