PROJECTED ENEMY MOVES
GREEN == MOVEMENT RANGE/ATTACK RANGE
RED == ATTACK RANGE
PURPLE == POSSIBLE MOVEMENT PATHI suggest northern movement no matter what we do to put as much distance between us and the mini-bosses as possible. Seyena is gonna get hit unless we move her out of the way, but I'm more worried about Matilda and Anja getting hit by the wyverns. General idea is that we head north, fight past the sergeant and the pegasi as quickly as we can (really quickly) and we try to hold them all off at the stairs choke. That way they can only get us one at a time, or at the least we'll be assaulted at less angles.
I only give the mini-bosses about a turn before they reach us, as with the mages, the wyverns will reach us now, and if we go north we'll crash into the pegasi.
Remember that weather only affects outdoor tiles and there is heavy wind, which gives one less move to flying units.
The PCs who can reach the sergeant are Olison and Alexander respectively, and the only way the sergeant will die this turn is if Alexander hits him with his warhammer and Olison doubles him with his short spear. Killing the sergeant however leaves one of the NPCs vulnerable to the wyverns, either Matilda or Anja. Matilda's weapon is effective against them, and one rounds them, but they deal 25 damage to her in turn. They have a 52% chance of hitting her, 42% if in Valor's Charisma. While she can potentially kill them all in one go, we won't get a shred of that EXP and that is really chancing things. She can survive a single hit if someone uses a Vuln on her however, but if we kill the Sergeant, Sal can't grab the closest Vuln and heal her.
Anja can be one shot by the wyvern knights, assuming they hit, but still. She can only survive a hit if Alexander is within Support Range, but only just.
TIPS
Always crunch the numbers.
Always try to get the most bonuses you can.
Double check where you're moving, can an enemy reach it?
If a plan relies on a chance below 90%, see if you can get any more bonuses out of it.
Rely on sure things more than gambles.
It doesn't matter how dead they are, as long as they're dead. Use the weapon that has the most chance (highest HIT) of killing them.
Sometimes the team comes before the individual.
Triple check, just to make sure.
HOW I PLAN STUFF
Look at what the enemies can do, do simple addition and subtraction to see how much they can do such and what is the chance.
Look at what your allies can do, run the numbers, think of variances.
Look at what you can do, etc.
Link the three together in a semi-cohesive way
Look a turn ahead with dread
Change plan to try and minimize future dangers
Look ahead again with dread
Don't mention dread to others
Say something encouraging
Pray to lightning serpent
HIDDEN MOVEMENT
Don't die
