After mucho handbook reading, tinkering and pondering, I've finished a little add-on to FEF3, which as you recall, have nomad/desert nation quite close to the main-game country:
Special: Camel
Passive Effect
While mounted, characters with this skill gain +1 MOV, and an effective +16 bonus to their Aid stat, allowing them to rescue almost any ally.
However, they also have an effective +16 bonus to their Weight, meaning only other camel riders can rescue them while mounted.
After taking an action, the characters are able to use the rest of their movement for the round to get away from the action as far as they can.

CAMEL RIDER: The animals native to the Ar-Maji'an deserts are sturdy mounts, and the tanned men and women of the south have domesticated them. Now the camels are seeing wide use in every day travel through the sands. Camel Riders use swords in the fight, and with the help of their mounts, they can travel through treacherous sands with ease.
