And yet, the sobs of the GM make it all worthwhile.  Even so, I still am strongly resisting the urge to curl up into a tiny ball.  It's not because of the damage, not because of the risk of rapid death, but because of the 83 EVA while wielding that bloody Murder Blade.  I have absolutely no objection to throwing everything at him.  Of those who are in range and can also hit him at range:
Tantallos (Worm): 17 damage, 58% hit
Edwin (Elfire): 16 damage, 65% hit, 0% crit
Gregor (Steel Javelin): 17 damage, 59% hit, 13% crit
Raquel (Killer Thunder): 22 damage, 42% hit (57% with Derick), 22% Crit (42% with Derick)

Including melee contenders:
Gregor (Killer Lance): 18 damage, 62% hit, 35% crit
Ami (Steel Mace): 15 damage, 33% hit

No one can double him, either.  Oh, and we can't fall back, because enemies move before allies; falling back effectively costs us Dag and/or Mannan.  That said, getting killed with the Murder blade sets our death counter to 1 at the *start* of the player phase, right?  I mean, I say that judging by the fact that anyone downed on the enemy phase starts the next turn with 3 death counters instead of decrementing to 2.  Stick someone, anyone at (7,17); (9,17); and (10,17); then back them up with people at (7,18); (9,18); (10,18); and optionally (8,18).  Either Ernest goes and punches a few more holes in the walls, in which case he's not punching a few more holes in us, or he murderates one of us, in which case one of the two swordmasters is being wasted (has to move out of the way for Ernest to get in), and whichever person he murderates gets healed by the person behind them.  They can't get through and can't target the person behind them because they can't stand on a tile with a not-quite-dead-yet person.  There is also the possibility of them destroying the wall at (8,17), eliminating the person at (8,18), and punching through with the third person, but this can be solved in three ways - either kill Swordmaster F, who is sitting at 8 HP; sleeping either Swordmaster D or F; or we simply let it happen.  Anyone KO'd by a Swordmaster has 3 turns to be healed, instead of 1, and this particular course would require Ernest to be, again, punching holes in walls instead of people.  By putting mages at (7,17), (9,17), and (8,18), we can also take up to three swings at Ernest to deplete his HP. 

EDIT: Haspen, can I absolutely confirm that's how the Murder blade works, though?  We still get one turn to heal the person, even if Ernest kills someone on the enemy phase, right?  ^_^

You never get death counter decrease until you get downed at Player Phase (which happened 2 or 3 times during whole game).

Murder Blade's follows the same rule.

Ah, thank you.  I knew that it worked that way for regular death counters, but I couldn't find any of the examples where we lost someone on a player phase, I remembered that death counters decrement at the start of the player phase, and I always worry about overlooking things.  I do it often enough, after all.

There were 4 2 stat levels, and 4 3 stats. And one of those two had one default to preferred stats. Dat's lame.

So people, we need to avoid horrible death. On the one hand, Ernest's little surprise has rendered the chokepoint void. On the other hand, he's opened himself up to many more attacks than he would be exposed to otherwise. If we limit ourselves to attacking him from range, he can at most murderize one person per round when he gets his knifing on. The swordmasters in comparison are barely threats, though they should also be killed as soon as possible.

Also, don't forget that we need to make sure the rogues stay out of the treasure room. Thankfully, Edwin can sleep them with ease, but that means we also need to ensure he doesn't go down at the wrong time. I'm pretty sure they'll be waking up soon.

I'm not sure whether Gregor should move to drop Charlotte somewhere safe (taking away his turn and tanking potential) or if Charlotte should drop on her own first, leaving her in a room with lots of hostiles but allowing Gregor to do something.

Please keep in mind that I'm almost out of sleep staff uses. We need to kill those rogues ASAP. Edwin and Tantallos can team up on the full health swordmaster and should hopefully be able to knock him down a lot, if not out completely, and if Gregor dumps Charlotte on the floor nearby, he can take on the low health swordmaster easily and Charlotte can let off a shot at Ernest.

Gregor dumping Charlotte would take up his turn. At least, I'm pretty sure it would. So its either dump Charlotte and let her take a shot or Charlotte uses her action to get down on her own and let Gregor show his stabs.
