Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

Have you seen Edwin's record at sleeping other magic users? He'd just be wasting shots and turns.

Though I agree, sleeping seems more useful at present :I

I'm saving what little sleep charges I have left for when we really need them. I might sleep the swordmaster or the axe guy next turn though...

And just look at the RES on those druids! Not gonna sleep them with that in the way... Our resident sniper is the best bet for taking those guys down quick. That or rushing in close and hammering them in melee with multiple people perhaps. Derick and his magemasher would work I think.

Both characters we can easily kill without waiting for them to run down their Hell Tomes from a completely safe distance :I

{30 + [(25 -19) x 5] + 23} - 6x2 = 71%. Edwin has 71% chance to sleep Druid D or a 69% for Druid C.

Assuming he moves as close as possible, and the sages don't retreat.

EDIT: I feel I should note that, if Raquel were to give Edwin the ring before he moved, he'd have a 96/94% chance of sleeping the Druids instead.

What I mean is that, to my knowledge, Edwin has not managed to put a single magic user to sleep. Not even once. No matter how good the odds. Remember when we went up against Joz's troops and he wasted several turns trying to put one guy to sleep and didn't hit a single time?

I'm just saying, maybe it's a curse.

I wouldn't bank on 70% odds, personally. Better than even chance, but hey, the RNG is a jerk.

I just realized I haven't gotten to invoke Critzocoatl in like, 4 maps or something. Terrible.

I say if he has the opportunity, the chance is sufficient, and believes its one of the better options, then go for it. Those hell tomes are dangerous.

Personally I'd say that sleep would be more useful than poisoning here, even at a 70% hit rate. But then again, with the choke in place it can stifle the amount of people that can get in at once, racking up poison damage on the outlying enemies. Maybe either can work, really. But above all else we gotta make sure we keep up on our health.

In other news, 21st cakeday.
