Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

HASPEN, SNIPER TIED UP Y/N?

He will undo the ropes turn after his sleep drops V:

He is crafty.
Boooooo :I
Can I at least break his bow so he can't use it?

I think Haspen is telling you to break his windpipe.

With your lance.

Which will kill him.
That would be very out-of-character.

Yep.

Has it occurred to anyone else that we might be wanted again after this fiasco?
Already brought it up ICly.

Haspen...

This is a bit too much. Honestly, it's those damn sages with paralysis staves (that we never got the chance to get for ourselves) that are the real problem here. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, that's where we are right now.

Are the fangs and the count's troops going to fight each other? God I hope so...

Actually wyverns would show up anyway because their appearance was planned early :P

Just don't forget that, if we get past the fangs - we don't even have to kill them - we're off the map and totes safe.

I for one am going to run straight past them when possible and leave you all to die.

Welp. That was completely expected.

Agreed with Xan's assessment towards just running instead of sticking around.

Oh I fully agree. GTFO is the best plan here. The problem lies in making a large enough gap to run through to safety while being able to kill Fang A for Sal to get his whip...

I don't think anyone disagrees. I just think the main thing we should focus on is making sure all of us (except maybe those of us with very high defense, since they can tank for a bit) can get out on the same turn. Gregor, Alexander, and maybe someone else with good DEF (Charlotte, at least, since Alexander can tank for her?) can probably stand to wait for a second turn after those of us who are extremely fragile clear out.

If we can get the sub-boss out of the picture fairly quickly, I'll hang around. I do great damage to the riders, and low chance to take middling damage from them.

We don't want the high-DEF units to stick around for long either considering the magical firepower that is about to descend upon us. We should punch a hole through and concentrate on getting people out ASAP while protecting the squishies. I actually think one of the staff users should be one of the last ones to leave if they hold the Rescue staff, since if anyone gets paralyzed they can teleport the frozen unit into the escape zone.

I'll see if I can create an opening with my sleep staff/fry some of them with magic. Keep in mind that our sages can heal people!

And that is a fantastic point about the rescue staff! I totally forgot we still had that!

Note that Raquel can insta-kill Estbrigg with Killer Thunder (dubs plus an evade chance of only 10% - her PS kicks in). It's an autohit if Derick's around.

I just had another good idea. One of the other staff users should borrow one of Edwin's ailment staffs and put it to good use. Poisoning/sleeping one enemy unit per turn is good. Poisoning one unit and sleeping another per turn is even better.

I think we should prioritize sleep over poison. Poison does 5-25 damage over 5 turns. Sleep keeps them from doing anything unless we make the mistake of slapping them.

But if we can do both, yeah.

Too mild. Have Edwin sleep one unit, than another sage take his sleep staff and using it to sleep another. Two uses on a staff in a single turn, maybe more if anyone else can use it.
