Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

Guys, is a randomly generated character with a serious personality and silver hair who is a female and who I decided should be a mysterious waif for obvious reasons (and is also an officer) too mary sue?
Depends. Characteristics can be used as a crude measuring stick for what is mary sue or not, but it really all comes down to the writing I've found. You can have the most average character you can make and they can still be mary sue. Likewise, you can have the utterly most out-there character and and they can be a three dimensional character.

Well, to an extent. There are some things that are just too far gone in that they can no longer be serious except played for laughs.

Ugh...

Why is silver/white/clear hair a trope? I'm fine with blues and greens, I mean, it's fire emblem/anime/desuu~ whatever you have it, but for some reason characters with that color hair are always special butterflies/badass mary sues/perfect/unique snowflakes or some shit.

Pink is the superior hair color, after all.

Symbolism!

I personally have no problem with it so long as their characterization doesn't turn out sueish. That's the true test.

Or Albinism. Technically, their hair isn't white as much as it is clear.

Not a clue really, although I do like the idea of that color of hair I've yet to see it done well on someone who isn't old enough to have earned that kind of hair.

To be honest I don't care much what a character looks like, but rather how they act, that's the true test. I'm pretty sure that if I were to have rolled in day one with a pink haired wyvern rider instead of what I did, I would of gotten eyes rolled at me or the character taken in a different light than what I was going for though, so it does play a factor however, that I won't lie about.

I'm not sure about baldness though, you lost me there.

Pink is the superior hair color, after all.

I can't help but agree, heh.

What type of plot/tone is your plan going to be BMM?

Ah, yes, I suppose I should go over that.

Okay, this game is set in an alternate universe where subsets of the population have magical abilities. When these people are discovered, it tends to be due to a high stress occasion, where they react on instinct. However, this tends to be in the teen years, and teens are... Less than stable. So, by mandate, they are sent to the Elibe Academy for Gifted Children. There, they are taught the extents of their powers, and more importantly, when and where it is appropriate to use them.

So, basically I'm sending you all to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters so you can be X-Men  :P

Of course, not all the characters are magic classes. This leads to me needing to do some bullshitting. Examples:
Sheila: Magic abilities include psychic water manipulation, and water walking.
Derick: Short range teleportation.
Alex: Invulnerability.
Grifen: Go straight to healing, do not pass vulnerary, do not collect $200.
Charlotte: Magic arrows! (Never said it was good bullshitting)
Seyena: Able to conjure wings and fly
Valor: Magnetic telekinisis (He can pull things toward him)
Chris: Anatomy sense

You get the idea.

The tone is going to be light overall, and fluffy as hell. Depending on how you go about certain options, there may be some hurt feelings, but overall it should be a very light, cutesy story.
